We just had our AOS interview today. It went very good. He said that we would be approved as soon as we do a police clearance.

That is fine with me, but why isn't that included in the documents they want us to bring. It would have been much better if we got one before but they never said we need one.

It only said Medical Exam, Affadavit of Support, Birth/Marriage certificates, etc. But it did not say police clearance. Maybe they want us to jump through another hoop. But it

it looks good so far. Anyone have a similar situation?

That's really strage. I am fairly certain ours asked for a police clearance. I am sorry if this causes you any delays *hugs*

Ok I am confused. Why would you need a police clearance for AOS? Didn't you already submit it during your inerview for the k1-visa? I hope somebody can reply, because I just submitted our AOS and we did not put a police certifiacte in our package. The only one we had we gave to the consular during our interview? Does my wife need to get another copy?

We were not asked for a police clearance. It is possible the OP's police clearance was lost by USCIS or the name resulted in a hit on the namecheck.

That police clearance was from India where she is from. The immigration officer is asking for a police clearance from California for the time she has been living here. Approx 6 months. I don't know why. But he did say that as soon as we submit that, he will approve our petition. Maybe this is like an RFE?
