hi! i have a few questions hope someone could help me.

i just got my I-751 application returned to me from the mail today. my problem is that my green card had expired last october 1st. i sent it last Sept. 21. it says there that i did not give the correct payment. i only wrote $465 on the check, cause i called USCIS military hotline and the lady that i talked to said that i wouldn't have to if i'm already submitting my fingerprint card and passport photos with the form (cause in the instruction for the military spouse we could get our fingerprints done in the military installation near us.) i am going to resubmit my form again with the correct payment of $545 but can i still do it? i mean cause my green card has expired already.

and also they returned my application without the fingerprint card that i sent along with it, what does it mean, should i file again without it cause that is not what they need or do i have to get my fingerprint done here again?

and also about my form, can i still submit the same one, i see on top that it has an expiration of 10/31/09, u think if i submit it again it will still make it before that date? i'll send it via express mail. my husband is deployed so he can't sign it, if i would need to fill up one, he was just here for his leave for two weeks that's why he was able to sign it.

please help me...i'm working on this alone...hubby is not here to help me...i just wanna get done with this to relieve me from stress...thank u!!!

re file do not worry about the fingerprint card Unless you are not in the US. The fingerprint card is for people who reside over seas with their military spouse. Get it in the mail with the correct fee ASAP.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Exactly. The correct fee is $545.00 ---the fingerprint card + passport photos is only for families of armed forces who are living abroad (not the USC, you.)

hi! thanks for the quick reply, i was browsing the forum, anyway, i am a military spouse, we are currently stationed in germany, i am a filipina, so what u think do i need to get a new one again? they didn't say anything about it, i was just wondering cause it was not returned with the form...i need to know cause i don't drive and would have to take the military shuttle bus that could only take u to certain places, so i would have to walk my way to the building where they do the fingerprint cards and then to the post office plus i have a 2 year-old boy whom i would need to find a babysitter for tomorrow. life is really not easy and this thing just adds up to the stress...

Send the same I-752.

Submit the $545 and get it back in ASAP as NArocks mentioned.

oh, ok -- you reside abroad; so you do need the fingerprint card + passport photos.

Send all in again with the correct fee amount.

Read the attached memo concerning expedited naturalization of spouse of US Military assigned overseas.

I am a US government employee who resides in Japan. My spouse is a Filipina who received her conditional green card in March 2008. We filed for expedited naturalization and she has her interview on November 2nd. The only downside is you have to attend your interview on US territory and Guam qualifies.

She can't do expedited until she submits the I-751 (had she gone for expedited at least 6 months before 2-yr GC expired that would be possible). First submit I-751 then as soon as you get NOA file for expedited and pick the VA office for interview - they do same day oath ceremony.
