Hi everyone here in the Vietnam Portal (and everywhere else too). I hope everything is going well for you all and soon our hopes and dreams will become realities. They may try to beat us down but they can not take away our love.

I was hoping that maybe some of you could take a look at our timeline. I have read many samples and tried to utilize the advice from many. I know they say to keep it somewhat short but after three visits this year I find it hard to eliminate much. Maybe I am overwriting. I would greatly appreciate your opinions - dont be shy! I not to proud to go back to the drawing board - we want to succeed and be together just like all of you!

I'm going to try and attach it, please let me know what you think and thanks in advance. Oh just an FYI on us. A few days after I arrived home from Nha Trang I received our NOA2. Then I got a letter form the NVC a few days later saying they are forwarding to HCMC and soon Doan should receive her packet. The letter from the NVC was dated September 23rd and from following some of you folks I think she should be receiving her packet soon. How long should we wait before contacting the consulate to start asking - thanks for your ad

There is no need to start asking just yet. You guys should follow through with the process through the interview date. At that time, if you don't get a pink, you should send weekly emails. I waited 60 days after my interview date to begin emailing...I'm not sure of what others did...

Call NVC and be sure they sent it out... If they did... it takes about 3 days for the consulate to get the file. Email the consulate to see if they sent PKT 3. If they did, you can get a copy of the pkt 3 on another VN topic here and email them what they need to proceed. section 1 of DS230 and DS2001... Jim's Fiance never got a Pkt 3...

A good document. However you talk about being married even though you're applying for a fiancee visa. I understand that you didn't register the marriage there. Consistency is important. Might want to reword those passages.

Thanks so much Scott. I called the NVC and they said they sent the approved petition on 22 September so I sent an email to the consulate just a few minutes ago. Question - How are they at responding to these requests? As I am sure you know, we are very anxious and stressed (but also very strong and patient). Thank you and everyone!!!
