Mmmmmmmm. Fish and chips. :luv:

The pork was bad. :\ Woke up at 2am sick to my stomach and have been ever since.

:( Hope you are feeling better soon, Mal. It's funny that your name (Mal) and the french word for "sick" is pronounced the same. LOL. Just an observation.

Here's a British to American translator for us.

This poll is flawed. You don't know whether it's the Canadian or the American responding to what they say in their own and each other's country. lol

Yes it is! And I did think of it but then the poll would be much longer

Plus, I already knew what the Americanos would say.

My husband eats grits and stuff like that and there's no WAY I'd become a grit-atarian just because he was. That's kind of like the same thing, right? lol

Why the grit hate???

i answered Zed and Zed because I don't think it would occur to me to say Zee, and I'm not even that old and set in my ways!

I second the motion to keep using cheque. Whenever I see a cheque referred to as a check (as in, "I'll forward that check to you tomorrow") I visualize a check mark and get TOTALLY confused.

I picked the coffee and donut (hmm) but I have heard another thing to miss is the good chocolate. Like Aero.

I like seeing u in colour. :lol::corny:

I call myself a "vegetarian-in-training". I eat a primarily vegetarian diet but occassionally (usually once a month) I will order something with meat when we eat out at a restaurant  . I can't help it! Vegetarian options are so limited. There's only so much pasta, salad or vegetarian pizza a girl can take! My daughter consistently orders meat whenever we go out to eat. She's pretty resistant to giving up meat. :protest:

Why the difference of opinons? Is it like a N. Canadian/S. Canadian thing or just Americanized or what?

I have to tell you guys I never heard it call Zed before until I met a Jamaican. So, it makes me smile to hear Canadians do the same.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I can't get over when i hear people (in Canada too) say "clique" as "click" -- there's something so wrong about that.

That popped into my head.. I guess because of the spelling similarity

Okay, what about -ize versus -ise?

I realised I use them interchangeably, depending on whether I feel like rebelling against my browser's spell checker (not chequer)
