Hi everyone!¨

Please help if u can.

Me and my fiancee are waiting for NOA2,which can be adjudicated as early as December 2,2006(California Service Center).

My question is:

Can I visit my fiancee in states while K1 is processing?I have to,of course, return back to Croatia because I have to graduate,so hopefully I do have a strong connection with my country and I shouldn't be suspicuos to the consul in embassy, wright??

Otherwise,we wont see each other for almost a year...it doesn't make sense...

If someone can answer me,please help.

I appreciate for any information.

Thanks

In theory, yes. In practice, getting a tourist visa will be more difficult than it normally is. You can't really hide the fact that your fiance lives in the US (well, you can, but it would be REALLY risky).

Otherwise,we wont see each other for almost a year...it doesn't make sense...

Been there, done that...

It wouldn't be really risky.. it would be a lie... and being caught in a lie to US Government officials in acquiring a visa results in a permanent ban on entering the US...

A lie is the worst immigration sin that you can commit...

As others have said in the past (and something that you could have found easily if you have used the search function at the top of the page), it is very difficult for a individual that has a fiancee in the US to be able to get a visitor visa. But you can't win if you don't play...

I'm affraid Croatia's not a member of the VWP...

And about meeting in a neutral country, think it wont be possible 'cause he's working.

Anyways,thanks Jaylen,for ideas and advices.

If my fiance is from England, which is part of the VWP, will he have problems entering into the United States? I know he doesn't have to get any paperwork to enter the country normally. Is there anything he should bring along? He rents from him parents, and just works temporary jobs to earn money to immigrate.

Well i can tell you my experience .. I just came home(canada) from the US on July 9th after spending 3 weeks visiting my fiance. At customs the man asked the usual questions .. Whats the purpose of your trip ect .. i had already decided to tell the truth and was prepared .. i told him to visit my fiance and he made a face and asked if i was sure i planned to return to my country ... I told him .. 'of course' .. he asked to see my return ticket so i showed him and he said have a nice trip and that was that .. But i brought with me a letter from my business partner and my banking information / mortgage , and a letter from my mother and father stating they expect me home such and such a day because they are babysitting my children .. they didn't ask for anything but i would not try it without being prepared for anything ... I'll take the same things when i visit next ( unless i have a visa by september ) Best of Luck

i went over to the states in May i am in the UK so part of the VWP, they asked me 2 questions. How long am i here for and when was i last here.

The easiest entry at a POE yet!! but i guess i was just lucky.

I would say if ur not part of the VWP i would try and get him to fly to you it would be alot easier.
