My fiancee and myself were given a white slip for a non-bonafide relation. The petition was returned, USCIS gave me the opportunity to address the denial and the petition was re-affirmed, sailed through NVC and sent to the Consulate, June 2009 the Consulate received the paper packet the third week of August, 2009. I wrote the Consulate October 5, 2009 asking about the petition and was told it is in, Administrative Processing and could take several months before an appointment is made! Any ideas on what is happening with this petition and what further action should I take?

Time goes by..

There's not anything to be done except to wait.

It may be a namecheck, or it may be some review by the visa fraud prevention unit - IMO, you'll never know.

I wish I had a better answer.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Maye they are pissed USCIS overturned their original decision. I thought once USCIS overturned te embassy's decision you were a shoe in.\

I don't know the procedure tho as it doesn't happen often.

Sorry, the coffee just kicked in.

Suggest you call DOS hotline everyday, inquire about 'case status' and 'change of case status'.

Always ask for 1) current status and 2) the last 3 things that occurred with the casefile, along with the dates of each thing occurring.

After a week of you doing this, you should notice a pattern of answers , and when there is actual, real movement on the case, you can figure it out from the 'status changing things and timeticks'

No, I'm serious, really. Set it up for speedial on your telephone. DOS and GUZ use the same data - so DOS can tell you what GUZ has entered on their computers. Good Luck !

lack of bona fide is usually an indication that the couple has spent too little time together or has a language barrier or has little knowledge of each other. AP is usually namecheck or other security issue, but after a white for lack of bona fide it is probably a revisiting of the original issue.
