just some observations

- never assume that someone asking understands the intricacies of this process as well as you, we'd none of be here if we were all experts.

- never assume users have the smae command of computers or the english language you do - so what seems obvious an clear to one may not be so to another

- when a user starts to wind you up for whatever reason just move on to another thread, there are plenty to go round, but being rude, offensive or inflammatory just shouldn't be the VJ way methinks.

- never assume users have the smae command of computers or the english language you do - so what seems obvious an clear to one may not be so to another

and finally something that has really begun to bother me here, we are by nature of the board a multi national and multi religious group of folks. Some of the language here though everyday to one is very offensive to another (yep Sharons comment above is an example though not the only one by far over the last weeks/months) and by the same token some avatars are to one culture amusing to others offensive (Sukie175 springs to mind). Believe me I am the most liberal of folks in both spheres but sometimes feel things here must offend members or those who stumble across the board simply by the nature of the many cultures we try and serve.

True. BUT there is a difference between what YOU are saying and what this poster was doing. She asked the same question NUMEROUS time and was very kindly and patiently dealt with and her question was answered. It was not the answer she wanted...it has nothing to do with being an expert!! In term of the technology - it was made so all she had to do was click a link!! That was it.

She asked questions, which WERE valid at first...but then kept asking ...and in different threads...to get the answer she wanted. This has nothing to do with not being fluent in English, being an expert or anything else. She worked in the US for many years, legally and illegally so her ENglish wasn't bad...that wasn't an issue.

Just be clear that it wasn't VJ members just being bitchy to do it...her questions were answered for a good three days before ppl got frustrated.

I read 2 of Daisy's shorter threads...didn't find anything there that she did that was SO annoying at all. I didn't feel like reading the 14 page one so I don't know what happened there. I don't really care anyway what was in that longer thread. It does irk me though when people act like everyone should be an expert. I clearly remember when I first started the visa process, being very stressed out and missing Sujeet very badly and thinking it was the most horrible thing to have to go through. You don't sit around thinking " well thousands are going through the same so I don't have a right to be upset". It was real and hard, and affects individuals even though so many people are going through it at the same time.

AWWWWWWW SHARON!! I was only messing around with my comment hun!!! Sorry about that. Hope you get the van started ok...I remember those days of having my own vehicle and the damn thing not wanting to start...particularly in the winters when the gas would freeze up..grrrrrrrrrr... it all makes me appreciate this HOT weather lol
