i've got my interview date from NVC thru email

HELLO,VJers!!! im new here. please help me to understand this fact. i've got my interview date from NVC through my email and my interview is on November 13,2009. but i did not receive any letter from USEm manila. should i have to wait for their letter before i go to st. Luke for medical?

im looking forward to hear from anybody here soon. Thanks and God Bless you all!!!

can you tell us exactly what the letter/email says?

its weird you got it from NVC, unless i am wrong, doesnt the interview letter come from the embassy of your home country, after you have gone through the whole process?

have you completed the DS230 and I864 and all those forms?

they just telling me my schedule of interview date. and the documents that i have to bring on the interview such as, Birth certifcate,passport,etc. i tried to call the NVC and the operator said, that, they already sent the comlete case to the consular in manila...

Congratulation!!! for you interview date. I got only email too and i printed it out. but for medical they need your case number and other formalities and you good to go. Call the hospital or doctor you go to and ask. I had my medical 2 months before my interview. I didn't even had interview date at this time.

26-JUNE-2009: Received 2-year Greencard in the mail!
17-May -2012: Received 10-year Greencard in the mail! No interview!

22-May -2013: Citizenship interview - Approved

you're good to go for your medical. the earlier, the better. just bring that letter showing appt schedule and other reqs (photo IDs, passport, fee etc)

NO, NVC schedules the interview (supposedly the 2nd week of the month)... once the interview is scheduled THEN your file gets sent to the embassy....

NO, NVC schedules the interview (supposedly the 2nd week of the month)... once the interview is scheduled THEN your file gets sent to the embassy....

NVC emails the interview letter to the petitioner and the beneficiary, and like Christeen said, then your file is DHL to the embassy.

We got our interview appointment date by email too. It's fine and that's the way it works...take that interview appointment notice with you to your medical examination...

Congratulations! Just print out the email from NVC with your appointment date to St. Luke's, along with all other info requested in the email, for the medical. My wife is going on Monday for her medical at St. Luke's before her embassy interview on Nov. 4. Don't wait until the last minute. A friend of ours on VJ went to the medical just before the interview, and the results were not forwarded in time for the interview. Now she has to reschedule the interview and go back to Manila again.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

so what does this mean exactly?

that case complete happens THEN an interview is booked, THEN my case goes to Sydney embassy?

i am so confused again.

i thought Sydney had to get my case to book an interview.

yes, NVC should handle your interview date for cr1. k visas, the embassy assigns the dates.
