Medical Exam for AoS - Does the civil surgeon need to read the TB test?

Just in case someone comes here, looking for the same info. I just spoke to OSU and they tell me that the TB Test can be done by my family doctor and that I can bring the evidence to the civil surgeon.

Now, I don't know if this is valid for every states, but one would think it would be.

My only problem, and if someone could answer this, it would help a lot, is that the civil surgeon seems to require blood work? What does this include? (I am trying to get as much done at my family doctor so I don't have to go twice to the civil surgeon; blood work would require that I go a second time.)

11/03/10 ------- AoS (I-130/I-485) Package mailed out (Priority Mail)

11/07/10 ------- AoS Package received and singed for

11/10/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (emails)

11/12/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (hard copies)

11/12/10 ------- Touches on I-130, I-485 and I-765

11/19/10 ------- Biometrics appointment letter received

12/06/10 ------- RFE for I-693 (I think the issue is that it was not signed. Called USCIS and will receive a letter in a few days explaining)

12/13/10 ------- Biometrics done

12/16/10 ------- EAD card in production (email)

12/20/10 ------- Received "Letter of Explanation" for RFE (Service Request to expedite my case. Called USCIS and was told to ignore that and just send in response to RFE.)

12/22/10 ------- Touch (Email for Post Decision Activity on EAD saying that a letter of approval has been mailed out)

12/24/10 ------- Received EAD in the mail

12/27/10 ------- Applied for SSN

12/31/10 ------- Received Interview letter

01/03/11 ------- Received SSN card in the mail

01/07/11 ------- Mailed out response to RFE (I-693)

01/15/11 ------- Email confirming USCIS received RFE response

01/31/11 ------- Approved!

Pre-Adjustment of Status:

2006 -------- Met Online

02/07 ------- Visited him in the U.S. for what was suppose to be a few weeks (Came in with birth certificate and health card. Health card expired a few months after)

08/07 ------- Decided to get married because we didn't want to be apart (in the U.S.)

10/10 ------- USCIS Medical Done

If I am not mistaken, bloodwork includes the HIV/Syphilis Test.

I just spoke with a civil surgeon and he said the same thing HIV/Syph... Isn't that going to be a fun conversation when my husband comes home. I'm not gonna prepare him. Not gonna tell him I spoke with the doctor, and that it's about immigration. I'm just gonna say: "Hi sweetie! We gotta go to the doc so I can get tested for HIV and syphilis! :rofl:

I did my Medical Examination 2 weeks ago. It only took me 3 days to finish everything. I did my TB test and came out Positive, so the surgeon sent me to a hospital to do a chest xray, it came out normal meaning I don't have a TB. I went back to my surgeon the same day, the hospital faxed him the result and he put and sealed everything in the envelope. Good luck to everyone else thats doing the medical examination.

01/11/2012 - I-751 Packet delivered at 10:45AM in Laguna Niguel, CA 92607 to INS Express Mail. Signed by. M. Guerrero

01/13/2012 - Check Cashed (2 days after)

01/17/2012 - I-797 NOA1 hard copy received --- (1 year extension)

03/07/2012 - Biometrics Done!

I'm done with my medical last month. I paid $275. I went there like twice because on the first day I had my Physical Exam, Blood test, vaccine shots and tb skin test. After two days I went back to the clinic for the result of my tb skin test and for the papers (I-693, vaccine record, etc)

If you want a complete copy of the test you have to download the I-693. Just read it for you to have an idea. You dont need to print a copy since the Civil Surgeon will provide it to you.
