We are sending in our paper tomorrow to schedule the interview. I just noticed on the K-1 packet it says that it may take up to 3 months for the interview to be scheduled.

I am wondering, has anyone else had to do this with the consulate in Copenhagen, and if so, how long did it take for your interview to be scheduled???

My wedding is planned for New Years Eve. We had BETTER get this interview for before then!!!!

I'm praying and crossing my fingers now...

As you know, we had to change our embassy but Lars and I both talked to Denmark before we decided to go with Congo and they were fairly easy to communicate with and I can't imagine that it will take 3 months! Let me know how it goes.

03/26/09 : NOA1

09/23/09 : NOA2

11/13/09 : APPROVED and visa in hand!!!

Thanks missy for the encouragement :)

I can't imagine it will take 3 months either. It seems like the Copenhagen office does not actually have ALOT of Danes who are trying to leave, do you know what I mean?

I got a message from someone else who filed through Denmark and they said after sending int he paper there was a one month span till their actual interview date. So I HOPE we will be okay!

How are you doing? Are you moving to Africa? If so, when? What is the latest with your application?

Hope you are well!

Our file is at NVC right now, the whole embassy change request has held us up a little but expect things to be shipped out this week to Congo. We plan on getting married in November in Fairhope, Alabama - with my family. He will be back in the States in February and after that 21 days here, I'll return with him. I don't know how long I'll stay there but probably 3 months.

I'm getting excited but I bet you are SUPER excited. A lot to plan!! Will you go over for the interview? If Janus is like Lars, I had to do all of the calling and pushing but the Danes there were super nice and willing to work with us on the interview times, I wish we were still going through that embassy.

I'm confused- why did you have to bother calling the embassy in Denmark about the interview date/time if you're to the Congo? I hope we will get a date soon, I am so ready to have all of this over with!

I really, really want to go over for the interview but I'm having to deal with the work schedule/wedding planning/packing up my apartment in nyc depending on where we are going to live (the options are nyc or san fran depending on his job situation too). So many questions still are unanswered!

I did it before we changed embassy's. We didn't know what to do, exploring options.

So they were friendly? They were willing to talk about interview dates before you got the NOA-2? Regardless, I'm happy to hear they seemed approachable...

I hope they will be friendly with us and be willing to give us an interview before December! Do you think they will? Until we get that date I am still so nervous!
