We recently received our NOA2, and was looking for some Manila Embassy info. I thought this forum had a pinned post for such a guide. I no longer see it. Is it in some other spot? I am looking for a short summary of documents required for the interview.

Thanks, LaneAndDaisy

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I believe this is what your looking for. it was unpinned because of some outdated info about Doc Verification Fee, which is no longer required, and by whom the visa is delivered. It's also a good idea to check the Embassy website for the documents required at the present time.

I wonder if Sheriff Uling is working on it, or if it is long forgotten. Either way, both the USCIS (sheck out the new interface) and USEM sites are much more user friendly and up to date.

When NVC tells you they sent the package:

Don't wait on the embassy to send you anything or you may get old. Go to this page and learn all you need to...Call them and see if they have your package yet and set an appointment.

This page is about Setting Appointments:

Has she/he got all the paperwork ready yet, is the medical done.

Go to St Lukes -- send her a copy of the letter from NVC, email or mail your choice: it's walk in so don't worry best to go Tues-Thurs to avoid rush.

Medicals are valid for 6 months. Info about medical is at the wwwfk1en.pdf link above.

Check this site for more info on the visa process in Manila:

Check up on the CFO seminar he/she will need either before or after but definitely before he/she can LEAVE the country Look HERE:

Hope this helps...Good Luck

Section 2.2 seemed to have an error as well, assuming I am reading the intent of what was written: "The stepparent/stepchild(ren) relationship must be created before the child(ren) reaches the age of 18." K2's dont age-out until reaching 21 years of age. I think that sentance pertains to a K4?

my guess it's long forgotten. even if it is updated, in time parts could become outdated. maybe a guide with links to info of commonly asked questions could be created.
