hi all,

well, the aos interview was a success. they were running late so we got into our interview about a half hour after our appointment time (9am).

we had a youngish women do our interview. it was all quite easy, she didn't ask for anything that we had brought with us (including that fcukin vaccination supplement, what a waste of $58). she mentioned that my birthday is in a few days. (don't know why)

she asked how we met, did i have a job (we said no, and not by choice), when did we meet in person, asked if chanin had been married before (she hasn't, i have), if she had any kids (she doesn't, i do) and then said that she will approve the aos (the fbi results had already come back) and i should have my greencard in about 2 - 4 weeks. i asked about the stamp in my passport and she said that they generally don't give the stamp anymore because they have to run another quick background check to see if you have any warrants or are wanted by interpol (should take a few days) we were in there for about 15 minutes all up.

in regards to the vaccination suppliment, she said that the reason they would ask for it is if your records from your K-1 submission weren't in your file. apparently the "brown envelope" that you give to immigration when you first arrive the your POE contains, among other things, your medical results. my interviewer said most of the time they don't make it into your file...she doesn't know where they end up but apparently they should be in there. so that's why you should get the I-693. mine happened to be in my file but she said that's pretty rare.

so now i'm done for 2 years...feels great.

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
