I need some quick help... I am trying to call the casablanca embassy and I only have one number that your are allowed to call for inquiries between the times of 3:00 and 4:00pm. I am needing to call to change an address on our case. Does anyone know of another good number to call? The number on there website 212-2-220-4127 is not a working number. Thanks!

Well its 5:00 pm there now, so you'll not reach them for sure. I don't think the change of address is something that is handled via a phone call. An e-mail with the case # and new address would probably be more useful.

Change of address should probably be done in writing so you have proof in case it isn't done properly. I believe the consulates prefer e-mails to phone calls. Also, don't expect an answer to any e-mail right away. Consulates are quite busy. Patience is a virtue.

Change of address should be done with the NVC, not the embassy. Call or e-mail the NVC. I would call, so that it's done immediately and then send an e-mail as a confirmation (it will take a week or two to get a response).

My fiance (now husband) moved when he was at the NVC and called NVC to let them know AND also emailed the embassy. We didn't want to leave it to chance that NVC would change the address on his paperwork before forwarding it on to the embassy...

If the petition is no longer at NVC, but at the local consulate, NVC won't do it. I had the same issue during our process, and contacted NVC. They told me to wait until petition is at consulate and contact them directly. I did...consulate replied confiriming the address change, and still sent packet 3 to the old address.

Our petition was approved and has been sent to the Casablanca embassy already. So it would not be useful to call NVC at the time. I think I panicked prematurely... he moved into his new apartment on September 24th, so its only been a matter of days, so I dont think it can be that much of an issue with them. I did email them and gave them our case information and new address. I usualy hear something within 2 days. So... I guess we'll see what they say.
