Smoking is a disgusting habit and should be banned everywhere, in my opinion.

I can't even have my apartment patio open because the people below me, next to me and diagonal down one to me all smoke and it smells disgusting.

Not to mention the stairwell smells of nothing but smoke. I'm pretty sure almost everyone on my side of the apartment building smokes.

Smoking tobacco has got to be one of the dumbest things a sentient being could do. Why the ** would you logically smoke tobacco? You don't get high off of it, you don't get anything but cancer and bronchitis each year all the while paying someone $40 a week to do it.

I think there are loads of apartment communities that don't allow smoking. Non-smokers should make sure to go live there. If the demand is high enough, then more communities will make that rule. Smokers can live in the places that do allow it.

The next thing you know they will ban all the foods that are bad for you because it makes people over weight which then somehow causes problems for others. I don't think anyone should be told what they can or cannot do in their home so long as it doesn't directly effect others.

I'm too poor to smoke. While getting gas this morning I saw a banner on the 7-11 window that advertised some 'generic' brand of ciggies for $45 carton!

I'd have to take a part time job or find someone to finance it...but if I could afford it I definitely would want it to be legal for me to at LEAST smoke in my own home...
