So few words, so much misinformation. The decision over the constitutionality of PPACA is still outstanding. Or have I missed the final ruling on this? As to the one-size-fits-all claim: false. States are quite free to pursue different paths under PPACA. VT may go single payer - something that I have a feeling no politician with any sense of self-preservation would touch with a 10 foot pole in TX, AL, MS or GA anytime soon. How's that one size fits all? And then there's this gem of the expressed objections of the majority of the American people. Looking at results of a March 2010 USA Today / Gallup poll, 49% of respondents said that it was a good thing that Congress passed the health care reform legislation, while 40% considered it a bad thing. More recent polls I've come across appear to indicate that there is less support to repeal PPACA than to keep and expand it. There's yet less support to simply defund it if it can't be repealed. That's not a majority in opposition. It was merely loud opposition.

Not just individual states but states can even form interstate compacts with other states if they should choose to do so! There is a lot of flexibility built in to PPACA/

Jon Huntsman takes hunting shot at Mitt Romney

By KASIE HUNT | 5/21/11 4:55 PM EDT

HOOKSETT, N.H. — Visiting a gun shop here, Jon Huntsman took a shot at Mitt Romney.

Huntsman stopped by Riley's Gun Shop, a familiar stop on the first-in-the-nation primary campaign trail, to talk to employees and check out the merchandise. After inspecting rifles on the wall, Huntsman said he was a hunter, and explained that though he had not hunted recently, he had been around guns "my entire life."

Asked by POLITICO what he hunted, Huntsman took only a second to reply.

"Oh... large varmints," Huntsman said with a smile.

It was a veiled swipe at Romney, who in 2008 struggled to explain his own relationship with hunting and guns — eventually acknowledging that his hunting was limited to "varmints."

"Small" varmints, specifically.

"I'm not a big-game hunter. I've made that very clear," Romney said in April 2007. "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter. Small varmints, if you will."

So you finally accept that Mitt is finished? Good. Perhaps we can have this thread locked down now.

I didn't say that. If only winning/losing was as easy as having/not having the support of the TeaTards.

...Romney has a good shot at being the GOP nominee. And anyone going up against Obama in 2012 has a very favorable outcome.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

Yes, anyone with the GOP nomination has a real shot. No denying that.

But win the GOP nod in the face of Tea Party opposition? Not a chance. Even if they were apathetic to Romney, he'd have a shot. But they're not. They hate him. And their hate is a powerful thing.

Mitt is done. On the day that Chrysler pays back $5 billion to Uncle Sam and after both GM and Chrysler are back in the black, he's now inventing the story that the automobile industry bailout undertaken by the Obama administration - against fierce criticism not only of the GOP generally but one Mitt Romney specifically - was actually all his idea in the first place.

If only there wasn't this op-ed he penned: Let Detroit Go Bankrupt

Mitt was pro choice before he was pro life

Mitt was pro universal health care via mandates before he was against it

Mitt was against the auto bailout before was for it (and, in fact, invented it)

And he wants to be taken seriously?

BTW, no GOP candidate actually expects a favorable outcome against Obama in 2012. It's why those that actually want to have real shot at winning are sitting 2012 out. If it was easy as you keep falsely suggesting, then the field would be packed with heavyweights. There isn't a single heavyweight actually even thinking about running. But keep bathing in your delusion. It's you that's gonna wake up with a hangover that Wednesday, not me.

^Yes, that was phenomenal. A very accurate and precise prediction that shows his expertise in times of trouble. Was it just GM that declared bankruptcy or Chrysler did too (can't remember if it was both or just GM)...

:bonk: Heavyweight? Who were these "heavyweights" you speak of in 2008? On the D side you had tweedle dee, tweedle doe, and tweedle dumb (Obama, Clinton, and Edwards)....Any of them heavyweight contenders? I know Obama can fund-raise but what are his accomplishments? How does his resume look? He was/is very inexperienced and it shows.

On the GOP (in 2008) who were "heavyweights"....Rudy? Thompson? Ron Paul? Mitt? Oh, I see, the big time heavyweight champion of the world was McCain.... :bonk:

India, gun buyback and steamroll.
