I really don't know what to do?! This is so distressing, words can't express!

London embassy is moving slow with both petitions. We went with the K3 cause we thought it'll be faster. Called the embassy and they aren't even giving a realistic time-frame. Do they not realise how hard this is?!

I don't know what to do. How long does I130 take to process, can anyone who has been through the US London Embassy in 2009 share their experiences with me, please?

This is too distressing. I hoped to be in the US for thanks giving, shattered. :(

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Looks like you had an RFE (Request for more information) in September of this year. That will slow down your case. I know it hurts and you are sad, but you have many friends here who have felt the same pain and understand it. You have to be patient. I know it's hard and the USCIS does not understand. You can always try for a visit to the states for Thanksgiving and still be here even if you are not approved yet. The process sucks, but it takes time to get an approval. I wish you all the luck *hugs*

You allowed 4 and a half months for the whole process????

Really? That's a very unrealistic time frame to be working to.

I get that you dont want to be apart from your spouse, but managing your expectations is part of getting through this process without pulling your hair out or going insane.

I hope you get some news soon.

What stage is your I-130 at in NVC? Have you filled the choice of agent?

They are asking for both AOS and IV filling fees. Invoice was issued on Oct 2nd.

Choice of agent was established from the start

Don't need to file for choice of agent as they knew that from the start. If we decide to go with I130, i;m hoping for interview date in November/December. Lord, please get me there asap.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

You DO need to file the choice of agent unless it's an a G28 is on file with the petition. Is that what you meant?

Yes.

Our attorney received both invoices, AOS and IV. One invoice it states the attorney is the nominated agent. I don't know if the attorney still will have to file a form, nothing has been mentioned to me

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

since you want the fastest route to the US, pursue both and attend the first interview, I hope it's the CR-1

Good luck

Look at the Processing times on this website for an idea of how fast each one is moving. Right now K-3 is about a month faster than CR-1, however, it costs significantly more because you have to file for an adjustment of status once you're here.

CR-1 has the added benefit of allowing you to work the moment you land.

Since getting my husband here ASAP is much more important to me than the ability to work upon landing, we opted for the K-3.

What on earth is packet 3. I just spoke to my lawyer and she has never heard of it. Is there a letter of packet 3 that I can look at from the gallery

Get a new lawyer first of all. Any experienced lawyer SHOULD know about packet 3!!

Go to the embassy section of VJ for London, and it speaks of packet 3 of the forms you will need to return to embassy before the interview and to the time of the interview.

Here is the link: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...&cty=London

scroll down the page, it shows packet 3 info.

This is what I dont understand, Paris embassy wont give me a K3 interview, cause they say I have a CR1 interview already.

I know Ive read here on VJ where many "Flipped" K3 interview to CR1 interview.

They also told me IF they schedule a K3 interview, my husband would have to come back and interview for CR1 interview?:blink::wacko::wacko:
