verbal confirmation of medical records enough?

I'm looking through the vaccination requirements for my medical and I have health records documenting that I have either had the shot or am age exempted for nearly all of them, which is good. Looks like I just need to finish my HPV course and get my adult diphtheria and pertussis and I'm gold, even better! The only one I don't have record of is chickenpox. I know that I had it when I was four years old, but is a verbal declaration enough for the panel doctor? Or should I get a blood test to confirm that I have immunity?

They just asked me if I had them, and I said yes and it was all good. That's all, didn't had to show a record of chickenpox.

verbal was fine for my doctor in melbourne... but maybe call and ask the doctors surgery?

my doctor actually told me every single person except me (haha) has had chicken pox so i was the first to ever say no and get the varicella vaccine, which cost almost $100 mind you... anyway he just asked me, and didnt care to see records.

I believe this may vary from one doctor to the other. The one I am going to see is asking me to give him a written statement confirming that I have had chicken pox. This statement either has to come from my mother or a doctor. What I did was to e-mail the panel doctor and ask him if he wanted documentation of this, and how I could present some. Perhaps you have the option of calling or e-maling yours as well? Good luck!

you can definitely call and ask the Melbourne doctor so maybe try the Brisbane one and ask?
