Timeline

guys and gals - sorry for asking what may be a tired question. i've searched 6 pages deep on this forum looking for answers without a clear explanation.

after 6 months i finally got the NOA2 tonight. my fiancee is in peru. my question is what exactly happens next?

i understand that something happens more or less like our case will be forwarded to an NVC which then forwards it to our embassy in lima then a set of documents is sent to her home. she has a month or so to get a medical checkup and "antecedentes penales" then goes for the interview and, jesus up in the clouds willin', get her visa to come to the yew ess of a.

1- what is the normal timeline from noa2 issuance til that packet is hand delivered to beneficiary usually take?

2- does that packet state the interview date at the embassy or does it happen at some point later on?

3- what do i, the petitioner, get? do i have to go to an interview here stateside as well (i can't afford another flight to lima though i'd really like to be there for her)

4- am really fuzzy on this one: do i need to prove that i have a steady job and income to the us gov before they will approve her? if so, what exactly is this step all about? my employment and income are pretty iffy so this is no end of stress for me.

5- just some rough idea: from noa2 to visa in hand what are some typical time lengths?

6- any other costs not included in the $455 app fee i don't yet know about? (excluding plane tix and medical checkup at her end)

thanks if you can answer any of these and if i should know anything else not mentioned above please feel free to throw it in - the more info the better!
