Today was a good day. Adam Walsh petitions can rest at ease. Our visa was approved in hand. My wife will be home Tuesday next week. No questions in regards to my past, except the court paper work from my past was handed to my wife in Spanish.

My wife's knowledge of my past left the embassy without any damage to questions to ask. Thank you for those who had helped me threw certain stages of this process. I will rest my profile her on visa journey tonight.

I will be more then happy to give advise to others in need of my same situation. God bless every one on Visa journey.

I think I still the first guy that beat it. I have not heard of any others petitions approved. I give the advise what to do, and others do not listen specially about taking a updated Polygraph. This process has to be taken very carefully, with lots of evidence to prove one is not a risk to there spouse.

I have been here a lot of years. I saw one other person beat the walsh act other than you. I am very glad for you. It's very difficult and hard and it requires complete concentration and I applaude your efforts. Did you hire an immigration lawyer? Normally I tell people to get a lawyer for the Adam Walsh cases. I am curious.

I hired and attorney, but did 90% of everything on my own. I got most information from INFO pass appointments and second hand legal advise from consultations. One great attorney out there was Gary Bala. This attorney if fighting the Imbra act.

Well I am glad you hired him. It matters in cases that fall under the Adam Walsh Act and it makes the government see that you mean business. I am very proud of you. It's not easy to pass this act and I commend you and I think that if you passed this act you have worked hard and earned it and had valid proof. Good for you! *hugs* celebrate!

Adam Walsh petitions can rest at ease.

I don't see how the OP can make this blanket statement. Each case is unique. The OP, through due diligence and persistance and assembling corroborating evidence, was able to convince USCIS that he did not pose a hazard to anyone.

I congratulate him and have good wishes for his future family.

But not everyone is the same as he. The struggle will be mighty for anyone liable under this law.

I guess you'd have to spend many years living under the ever more restrictive laws that are being passed dispite the fact that they do nothing to protect children and everything to beat down an entire group of citizens, many of whom are only asking for a chance at redemption.

He isn't saying that all AWA petitions will be approved. What he's expressed is that we at least have a chance to get our petitions approved if we have taken the measures to restore ourselves and can present sufficent evidence to that end.

As someone with a sex offense conviction 23 years ago I have worked hard in my life to become better than I was at the lowest point in my life. I've never asked for anyone to grant me special anything, all I've asked for the opprotunity to rehabilitate and be accepted as such.

I was 12 - 16 years old, living a hellish life when I commited my offenses. I have made corrections and lived a decent life since. In the 10 year ssince my divorce from my first wife I've raised my 2 daughters as a single parent with sole custody.

I would hope the 23 years since my last offense speak more about my character than the 4 years that I was offending.

Remorse, regret and determination have been a part of my life for years. I will never forget what I did but I should be allowed to build a life as long as I have made the corrections needed.

I really wish this could have a different name. I know you all are happy about beating the "system" but does anyone recall Adam Walsh and why this Act has its name? Not to be a wet blanket but celebrating beating Adam Walsh sounds kinda sick. That young child was raped and brutally murdered. Celebrating that is sick IMO.
