Biometrics appointment mishaps

So we initially filed just before we moved, knowing we'd probably have to reschedule the biometrics. Called the "we can't help you" line just to be sure they'd say they couldn't help. Didn't want to send the letter by mail for fear it'd magically get "lost." We received the forwarded letter and went to an INFOPass appointment (on 9/10) to see about getting the appointment rescheduled to our new local office (from Spokane to Seattle). They took the letter and said it'd be taken to the appropriate people and we should get the new appointment letter within 2-3 weeks.

3 weeks later and no mail. Called the "we can't help you" line again just to be sure. Went to INFOPass and they called the office in Missouri where they make the appointments while my husband waited at the counter. Apparently the new appointment HAD been rescheduled (for 9/30) but a "system glitch" had happened and the appointment letter had never been printed (and thus never mailed to us). If we hadn't kept bugging USCIS, nobody would have even realized this.

So now we get to wait another couple of weeks for the new appointment. Again.

Lesson to other VJ'rs: Keep bugging USCIS and keep tabs on your case. Don't trust them to do their jobs right. Cross your fingers, too.
