I864 + DS3032 process....

Hi guys,

Just a bit of a weird question for you all...

I know the I864 and the DS3032 are completely seperate processes.. and I have done both... and am awaiting the approval of the DS3032 so I can then send my DS230 on... and pay the IV bill of course...

My question is...

Will NVC approve the I864 before approving the DS3032 or do they not even have anything to do with one another?

I mean, how do I know they have approved the I864 at any time? Do we just assume they have unless we get an RFE?

The thing is, my DS3032 isn't approved yet, and I dont have my IV bill to be paid yet (it still says not invoiced on the website) and I was wondering if it had anything to do with the I864 at all?

Does that make sense? I know they are seperate but does one affect the other? :)

Thanks!

Nope, the 864 is a seperate street for the Petitioner... you are not notifed when it is approved but will get an RFE if they need more info...

The 3032 is the street for the benificerary... Once the 3032 is accepted, at that same moment the IV fee is generated, once paid you send the 230... Both streets merge in the end with a case approval! You might get a false RFE for the 230 package once the 864 is accepted, they say they are looking for the 230 package... They are completely different processes so they post differently....

Tomorrow is a fresh day, just keep checking... Any day now the 3032 will be accepted, keep looking at the payement webiste for the IV ready to be paid!!!

in my opinion u have to do the ds3032 before u send the I864 bcz u need the cover sheet and u only can get the cover sheet after u pay the bill, the bill will be generated after nvc accept the ds3032. but u can send the both ds230 and i864 together, good luck, abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. yeah cool.. but i'm right in saying though that the DS3032 is generated with the AOS bill..... i mean the DS3032 sheet that is. i emailed my DS3032 anyway, but i did it when they told me to after getting the AOS email and instructions to pay that.

aaahh... waiting is the worst.

mrsemcee,

You are correct. The DS-3032 and the AOS fee is sent at the same time. It makes no sense to wait for anything. Pay your AOS fee as soon as possible, email and mail your DS-3032 as soon as possible. Once the AOS fee coversheet is generated, send in the necessary AOS package documents. Don't worry about when NVS approves your DS-3032. Your only concern should be to pay the fees as soon as you can, print the coversheet with bar code and send the necessary documents to the NVS as soon as you can. If your DS-3032 hasn't been accepted within 8 working days, call NVS and find out what's going on.

I found out that my DS-3032 (I emailed and mailed mine) was accepted by calling the NVS number. I was able to actually pay the IV bill 8 hours before I got any emails from NVS. Once, the payment cleared the next day, I printed my coversheet and sent the DS-230 package the very next day. Check out my timeline.

Cheers!

KemKem is correct. I did the same paid the bills as they were shown up on the website. I paid my IV bill lastnight but did not get an email from the NVC regarding the bill. But I have not sent out my AOS package because of some IRS screw up. They sent me my transcripts which I never got and called 2wks later to findout about it. Am awaiting another set from them. :bonk::bonk:

When you phoned the NVC, did you have to speak to an operator or did you get a recorded message saying your DS-3032 was accepted? I would be happy to find out if they even received our DS-3032 as my husband snail mailed it from Scotland.

Thanks.
