Hey guys,

Thu and I took some pictures together on a digital camera in Singapore 2 months ago for our first meeting. I got the pictures developed at Target. They printed the dates that the pictures were developed, not when they were taken, on the back of all my pictures. But the pictures were originally taken in August. I wanted to take these pictures with me to VN in March next year and have Thu and myself sign and date them for the dates when were in Singapore. I wanted to use these photo's for our I-129F petion which we intend to file in Spring 2010. Is this a good idea or bad idea?

I don't know about the photos but the timeline would be a good one to send along with your petition. As of the photos, which brand of camera did you use? Usually it comes with a cd that have a software where you can go in and put date on all of your photos in the front of the photos. Usually it comes with red/blue/yellow. If you have a Sony T5 it's include in the menu of the camera itself and if you have a Sony T700 its in the software call PMB which included in the cd that comes with it. Hope this didn't confused you in anyway.

Good luck.

its common to have the date processed on the back of a photo.. just write the date taken, place and who is in the photo on the back of each and try to have entries in the timeline that match them...

You know what? That was one of my problem when I took the camera from America to Vietnam. The date didn't change until 12:01pm so our day start over when it's in the afternoon. Our date went off a little bit and I hope they get it. Remember to change the date on your camera back to Vietnam time so when you take the pictures it gives you the right date.

Dates printed on photos are easily manipulated. Just write the date, place, and people in the photo on the backs or in the margin. That is the info that the CO will evaluate.

Good advice as always guys. Thank you. One more question. When I do submit these pictures with my I-129F, can I just go to FedEx Kinko's and make color copies of the front and back(showing names, dates, locations) of the pictures? That is good right?

I just had walgreens print the ones that I wanted included and put them all in a ziplock that was attached to a piece of paper that listed all of the photo's info... and each one also had the same info on the photo's back.

Interesting. Perhaps I can make multiple copies of the same picture and have them all signed and dated. This way I can send the first copy set with my I-129F and send actual pictures instead of photo copies of pictures. Then I can keep the other sets of copies to myself if I need them for a potential RFE or if Thu needs it. Sounds good.

PI consulate does not have the same expectations as VN...
