I am CR-1 and our appointment letter was 5 pages. All the pages had the case number on them except page 2 which was blank.

Hi thekfc. I am a CR-1 applicant and right now, I'm waiting for my case to be completed at NVC. I'd like to ask from where you got the appointment letter, NVC or US Embassy Manila? Is it through email or snail mail?

Okay, thanks. If the appointment letter would be package 4, what would be the package 3? I was looking at the built-in timeline here on VJ and it mentioned Packet 3 and 4 after the case is forwarded from the NVC to the embassy. I'm sorry but I'm confused with these email/letter correspondence with NVC/embassy.

You have already received package 3........... without knowing it.

Package 3 is the email you got with the heading MNL2010XXXXXX (P3U AGENT UNIVERSAL)‏ --- P3 = package 3.

That is the one you get after you made all payment - it contains the bar code coversheet (and instructions) for/to include with the DS-230 & civil documents.

don't even bother waiting for the appointment letter to get to you via snail mail prior to your interview date. NVC will send a copy of it anyways to the email that's on file associated with your case number. the family's interview appointment letter hard copy came in the mail a day or two after the interview date.

your petitioner should've received your NOA2 from the USCIS when they forwarded your case to NVC. ask your petitioner to email you a copy of it so you can print it out and bring it with you just in case they ask you for it.

How far apart did everyone schedule their interview day from the day of the medical exam? My fiancee is coming from another island, so I don't want her to have to stay longer than necessary. Does she really need to have the medical a full week in advance (7 days) or would 5 business days (Mon-Fri) be enough?

Thanks

This is just my opinion, but I think the most important thing is to have an interview date to give them when you have the Medical.

I would think that 5 days would easily be enough time for them to process your medical exam information and get it to the Embassy.

That sounds good; I'm hoping to get a Friday interview and have her do the medical on Monday of that week so she doesn't have to stay the weekend with nothing to do since St. Luke's is closed on the weekend anyway. Thanks!

Remember the Medical is a 2 day affair. She can always ask them when she has the Medical, if there will be any problem.

Unfortunately, we have not had any luck trying to reach St, Luke's by phone.

I know of only one person who's medical info did not get to the embassy in time.

It only resulted in a couple days delay and did not appear to be a big deal.
