Hello everyone,

I recently accepted a new job and start Oct 13, 2009.

I also recently received our NOA2 approved on Sept. 29, 2009.

I am going to visit my fiance Oct 16-25, 2009.

Getting the NOA2 early was a pleasant surprise, but I'm not sure of what I should do about the I-134.

Should I just ignore the job that I am at today and fill everything out with my new job?

OR, should I just fill out the form now with my current job and ignore the new job?

Is there some way that I should include both jobs?

My main issue is that I was hoping to have all the forms together to bring with me so there is no risk of using the postal system.

Also, what exactly is in packages 3 and 4 that the Embassy will send my fiance? I want to make sure I help her with those forms while I am there.

Thanks so much VJ~

The I-134 is a "present tense" form. Whatever is true and correct the day you complete it and sign it is the correct information to respond with. At the interview you will need to document your response with an employment letter and/or check stubs from your current position (or new position) So I would not count on taking that with you 3 days after you start your new job. Avoid the postal system by using Fedex or DHL

Packet 3 is forms and instructions and can usually be downloaded. Packet 4 is a confirmation letter for the interview and instructions about when to arrive, where it is yada, yada.

Do you have a good idea of when the Packet 3 will come with the NOA2 being approved Sept 29?

As Gary and Alla said you can download the info in packet 3 instead of waiting to receive it by mail. We received Packet 4 in about two weeks but it does depend on where your fiance lives in the RP.

I think I found what I was looking for here:

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Can you look at the bottom links and tell me if I can disregard the IV (Immigration Visa) instructions?

I'm pretty sure I have to follow the K1 Interview Preparation Instructions.

I am filling for K1 visa as well.

When NVC tells you they sent the package:

Don't wait on the embassy to send you anything or you may get old. Go to this page and learn all you need to...Call them and see if they have your package yet and set an appointment.

This page is about Setting Appointments:

Has she/he got all the paperwork ready yet, is the medical done.

Go to St Lukes -- send her a copy of the letter from NVC, email or mail your choice: it's walk in so don't worry best to go Tues-Thurs to avoid rush.

Medicals are valid for 6 months. Info about medical is at the wwwfk1en.pdf link above.
