My sister Natalie (Army National Guard) is in Afghanistan, my brother Stephen (Army National Guard) will be deployed to Saudi Arabia in a couple months, my brother Chris (private military contractor) is already in Baghdad testing military vehicles, and I will be in the philippines over Christmas. Its just going to be a weird Christmas.

Anyone have similar stories?

I spent Christmas and Thanksgiving in the Persian Gulf in 1991. Onboard the USS Truxtun (CGN-35) just floating around. We had the day off so we only had 10 hours of work instead of the normal 18.

Just hang in there.
