We cooked and had a bunch of friends over. I learned a lot more details about the offering of food and such. I was slacking on trying to find a moon cake for her but she said "no problem". Friends really enjoyed Linh's most excellent cooking. Everyone is now looking forward to Tet.

I have not celebrated it. But I have had moon cake and I didn't like it. My last trip in august I tried some. It wasn't very good this one had egg yokes and tons and tons of stuff in it. But my fiancée and her mother just got back from a temple. Maybe that was the reason. Not sure. Religion is a tough subject for us. And well I need to let that stuff go. Because its not important. Anyways, about your topic. No never had the chance to celebrate it but I did eat some moon cake!

Ever wondering why ALL of mooncake boxes never have the Nutrition content Fact label? Because once you see the cholesterol and saturated fat numbers, you would prob not try to kill yourself prematurely with whatever nasty stuff they put in those cakes.

Seriously, why go for mooncakes when you can have much alternative choice like cookies over here?

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!
