I just tried calling the NVC a few minutes ago and they are closed due to the bad winter weather winter knocking out the power. If I had to venture a guess I think that they have missed quite a few work days lately due to bad winter weather in the greater DC area. I would think that would get them behind in their workload.

TIMELINE:

10/13/09 - Filed I-129F

10/17/09 - Received NOA1

02/23/10 - NOA2!!

02/25/10 - Received at NVC

03/11/10 - Left NVC

03/15/10 - Delivered to Jerusalem Consulate

04/08/10 - Packet 3 received.

05/28/10 - Packet 3 mailed back to Consulate.

06/28/10 - Packet 4/ Interview letter received!

07/16/10 - INTERVIEW!!!

07/16/10 - APPROVED!!!!

08/01/10 - Visa delivered by mail.

10/21/10 - Flew into the US!!! Finally here!!!

11/14/10 - Married!!!!!!!

Roger. Good info. Have a great weekend, our first outta the visa jailhouse. We'll all touch base on NVC next week.

(And tell yer woman, I spent a year in Israel when I was young, on a kibbutz milking goats - a fantastic time was had).

Just for your information, it is my understanding that NVC is actually located well north of Washington D.C. but there's probably more snow there anyway.

Emailed NVC 1/5/2010

Response from NVC 1/9/2010

The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.

I'll email them.

Matter of fact, once I got my case number, I was getting superbly fast response time from my consulate via email, like within 12 hours and that was because of our 10 hour time difference.

And oh, for what it's worth, less then 6 days to interview!

If your petition was sent to Montreal, then go to this link http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...mp;cty=Montreal

There are websites listed that you can download all the documents in P3. Do not wait for the embassy to snail mail your P3. I have read where some people never did receive their P3.

If you petiton was sent to Vancouver then go to this link http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Vancouver

Good luck.
