Eggs, you will get fobbed off with the 5 month bull.

My fiance is going to his congressman. If any of you want to do the same, I can provide you with the list of case numbers, real statistics you can take to your congressman which blows the 5 month bull out of the water and shows clear breach of VSC's own policies, procedures and mission statement. The 5 month thing will not stand up against it. A number of our October (and November) petitions have clearly been left to rot somewhere, and I fear from what I've seen, there is a strong chance we will all be lost in the system anyway up till the 5 month mark and have to do a congressman's enquiry then anyway. A Canadian seemed to have got lost, only got NOA2 last week, after a 5 month and 11 day wait, whilst a large amount are still being processed in 30 - 50 days.

They have pumped out approvals for every single day of December AND January filers up to 12th Jan, probably later, but haven't had the man hours to check as yet, but will do more today.

There is nothing to lose by going to congressmen. If they don't want to help, fine. But I very much doubt it when presented with the evidence. I think they will be shocked at what we actually know. If any of you want it, just PM me, it's a cut and paste job.

I am unleashing the dogs, stand clear! xxx

That is such bullshit! It should be required that if people get done with their petitions that they then move on to petitions being held by other people. Cause obviously it can't be a background check issue if people are getting their background checks done in 30 freaking days.

And it's really annoying that we missed out on the massive approvals in September and now they're back to massive approvals but we missed out on it again because we didn't file later.

That really annoys me knowing that I had to wait three months for mine and every other month except November is getting theirs in thirty days.

I agree 100% These people are starting to damage my calm!! I knew that I was going to get hung up a bit because I did something stupid years ago and got into some trouble, but it is not one of the convictions they ask (ie: no drugs or violence). So with that said they should easily see that and go ahead and move forward now, but no they just let it rot. I am already starting to gather all my paperwork for a trip over to the Congressmans office here in town come March 15th if they don't get off there duff!

Did you get a hard copy NOA2?

If I were you, I would get right back on the phone with Vermont.

Insist on them looking up your EAC number and telling you the date it was mailed to NVC.

They are supposed to scan your file every time they handle it, and if you received your hard copy NOA2, give them the date on your letter. Your file should have been forwarded on or about that date. If you can't get any answers, ask to speak to a supervisor.

After NVC receives your file, they assign a new case number specific to your embassy.

USCIS No One knows anything From the supervisor " our process in that it goes to the state Depart. All petitions are procedd the say way. If it states it was sent then it was." it then goes to state department which has other priorities to clear. It will then be cleared given a Number and sent> this can take up to 90 days. They will give an automatic extention because of the time delay is on there end... there is no way to varify that it has been sent or not. but becasue thats what it states on our NOA 2 thats the assumption that has happened.

NVC "we dont have your case in the data base. How long has it been? 3 weeks. HUH usually takes 2 weeks. call USCIS

I can tell you from experiece with the state department with other issues that i am persuing in there office? Haiti has been turned in to job one. Now i totally agree that what happen there is horrific. But not fair to the rest of us who have been waiting to be pushed back. But i know that my case which i would concider to be very important with the state department has been back burnered ( is that a word hahaha)

Oh, my goodness! Oh, my goodness! A miracle has happend ladies and gents!

Ham has booked his medical for Monday!

Yes, that's right! After two months of me nagging him and two weeks of me sending my sister/wedding planner after him he has finally gotten his butt in gear for the visa.

I'm so excited. Granted, he still has to actually go to the appointment which is iffy considering he hates doctors. But! I'm looking at the bright side and saying at least he managed to make a call about something having to do with the visa.

"it goes to the State Dept." HOW? Ask them if they use a carrier (like UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) or US Mail. I thought I remembered reading that they use carriers which are TRACEABLE.

"which has other priorities to clear". When I called NVC, I was told that they do not have to do anything with 129F petitions except assign the new case number and send it on it's merry way to the embassy. 90 days...that's a put off.

"there is no way to verify it has been sent". That's #######. Your file has a barcode on it which is supposed to allow them to accurately trace it. It should have been scanned the day it left VSC. Assume nothing!

Does anyone else have any ideas?

So I mailed off the whole package with the NOA2 and Affidavit of Support to Ham. They said he'd get it in about a week to a week and a half. So that and the police check are the only things he has left to do. Once those are done then we're good to go on the P3 part.
