hi, i mailed my 129f in may and received my nao1 a few weeks later. it's october now and i am still waiting for the nao2. is this normal waiting time? but my bigger problem is i can't find my nao1 letter. i don't have my receipt number and can't check my status online. what can i do to find out what's going on with my case?

If you paid by check then your receipt number will be stamped on the back of the canceled check. If you don't have a copy of the canceled check then your bank should be able to provide one for you.

Which service center did you send your petition to?

i sent it to the vermont service center. i will have to wait until tommorow to call the bank and get a copy of it. thanks for the help.

If you have online banking services, you may be able to view a picture of the canceled check on the bank's website. That's how I got my receipt number before I even got the NOA1.

Side note: Consider going to the hardware store and purchasing a "fire safe" to keep your important documents in. You don't want to lose any of the paperwork from this process.
