ok, anyways, unfortunately, looks like uscis has approved so many cases that nvc is no longer the fastest stage. it was amazing that last week i or my husband got to do something everyday concerning nvc starting on monday. and now it looks like it is taking anywhere from 10-21 days just to read a piece of paper to see who the correspondence needs to go to. i think it would be so much easier if the beneficiary was able to call nvc, and just tell them over the phone who their choice was. sad when emails and snail mails are taking about the same time frame

Hey guys!

Only a couple of people where I work know the actual truth and these are my friend-friends and thus, vaults! Everyone else thinks that my husband is coming to Canada --I feel like a heel for lying and I am also horrible at it. Yesterday my boss asked me how ti was going and I fumbled for lame-#### answers adn such . I can say the truth as in, it's taking a long time adn I miss him horribly and that's the truth. We had 3 rounds of lay-offs last year and I did't want to put my butt on the chopping block by saying that I was potentially leaving. it's another reason I hope this ends soon and we can be together so I can quit lying on an almost daily basis...

@ christeen..

I hear you SO well. My husband and I are on year 7 and we've done long-distance SO well, with some ups and downs but so well regardless... but i find too that this past few weeks, the waiting is horrible and I miss him more than I ever have before. Especially when he's sweet and understanding and rock solid in the midst of my little LGG turmoil. The nearing the end of this process makes it so much harder to be apart because you see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

I am a really busy girl with jobs and freelance and friends and such but he's my person and I miss him every single day. He's the funniest and coolest and smartest. My favourite person. And all I want is to get there, be with him and move on with our little Mr and Mrs LGG lives...

Thanks for letting me rant... I don't think a lot of people understand how this all works. The Immigration process as well as a long-distance marriage...

Christeen: I agree with this statement 100%

My thoughts are that perhaps because it is someone else telling us we cannot be together that it seems longer? Make sense? The dog don't wanna go in the road till ya put up a fence???

Ok... so tonight I am kind of down too... I was really hoping to hear something about an interview, I guess for some reason I did not think that Italy Consulate would be super busy... However, NVC has not scheduled anything, I am really hoping for something this week... I wrote Naples consulate asking about what I need to do to get an earlier interview date (can't blame a girl for trying, right), but they do not have my file so of course could not help me...

Now I was thinking, it is very strange that my husband and I have been married for over 6 years and together for 9 and for all these years of him going away on the ship, not seeing each other for 2 months at a time etc... Seperation has not really bothered me... In fact, I did not even think that we would be living together anytime soon... But now that it is literally a month or two away... each day seems like forever... Why is that? My thoughts are that perhaps because it is someone else telling us we cannot be together that it seems longer? Make sense? The dog don't wanna go in the road till ya put up a fence???

To top it off, my husband is on a ship, 32 miles from the coast near Rotterdam Netherlands with no phone, we can only talk via the captains phone for about 5 minutes at 11 AM each day... Hopefully he will be done on the ship by Friday!!! Miss talking to him :luv:

Thanks for lettin my kettle vent a bit!!!

Well, nothing yet today... Naples of course said they cannot do anything until they get the file after NVC schedules something... NVC today said they do their scheduling NEXT week as they consider this week the 1st week of October... Which we all pretty much know is BS, but whatever!!!

LGG I know you know what I am talking about.... Feels kinda stupid that you go for years being OK with not always seeing them, then suddenly they say you CAN'T be together, and despite you have done it for years... It's like.... NOOOO I CAN'T TAKE IT!!!!

I guess that getting so close has me so very upset... I am a photographer and getting into busy season (lots of weddings and family x-mas card portriats) and thought that I handled having a long-distance marriage OK... I kinda got used to this life, but now that we are sooooo close, I suddenly am very lonley and missing him  My husband is a very calm and always tranquil person, basically the opposite of my firey self and not being able to talk with him every day while he is stuck out at sea during this stressful time is REALLY getting to me... I need him to keep me calm and balanced, without talking to him, I am getting a little undone!!!!

I know that everyone is feeling pretty bad (hence the title depressed forum) so maybe we all need pick ourselves up, give ourselves a swift kick in our sorry a$$ (as well as kick to NVC to get off their a$$) and get movin  I know I need someone to get me out my sad hole over here!!!

Welcome to my world, c... We've been done since early August and there is probably zero chance of use even getting a December interview. Freaking b*stards.

I know exactly how you feel -- I haven't felt this unhinged ever, I don't thing. It really does feel like I can't take it. I also wanted to say to you that I am so sorry that you guys can't talk -- that'd get to me too, it really would. Even if we've both had busy, grumpy days -- a quick hello or whatever makes it good until we can really catch up...

It's just so unavoidable, this feeling as we're impotent -- there is not one thing we can do but sit back and wait. Don't get me wrong, I'm having craploads of fun with my friends and such and I work like a dog -- I am making the most of my time here but it's time to move on and its' time to be where I want to be.

That's the gist of it...

Stay strong, christeen, he'll be back from sea shortly, right?

you also know you're not alone in this muck...

:)

I went to sleep last night thinking about the Visa and woke up this morning thinking about the Visa. I was having a bad morning and got a surprise phone call from my husband that made me so happy. Later in the day I got some bad news and just when I was getting upset again I got a surprise text message from him. I love him so much and all we can do is stare at each other on a computer screen but I thank God that we can chat.

Mike and Sachinky thank you for sharing your wedding pictures they are beautiful and uplifting.
