Bob I feel your pain. I can't even begin to understand what you must be feeling right now but your lady is so lucky you love her enough to get married and go through all this waiting again.

Today I took a break from all the stress. I slept all day. It felt good I must have needed the rest.

Bob can you talk about your interview? What went wrong?

I have been going over the Interview with my Fiancee. The first thing was a question of "what was my job title from 1966 to 1994" on my prior job. I was a supervisor/diemaker. My Fiancee did not remember. She said "sales", but that is what I do now. The VO did not like that my income is low. My income meets all requirements, plus I have plenty in the bank, and my 2 house are paid for, with 1 home bringing in rent. The VO made comments that about my white hair in the photos, but what the heck, I am 61. The VO ask two times about how many times I had sent money to my Fiancee, which was 5 times after my trip there in April, and I had summited 5 copies to show this. My Fiancee said "5". Maybe the VO did not see all 5 copies. I know having 1 trip can be a red flag, but not always. My Fiancee and I talked for 11 months before my trip to meet with her in April for 3 weeks. I filed K1 first of May. Interview in December. I would liked to have been there, but getting a short notice when the Interview date is, expecially trying to travel at Christmas, and snow storms moving in, made it extremely difficult to be there. Some other people I talk with regualr on another site, relating to the Guangzhou, China Interview, had some problems too. Some of the reasons for denial are just so minor. So we compare information, and try to help each other with the next go around. Good Luck everygone, Bob....

Thank you Bob for sharing your experience. I hope you will be able to go to the next interview. You are right they can find minor reasons to deny the Visa. That's another reason this process is so hard on people and depressing.

My husband has been feeling better these last few days. We are both trying to stay strong while we wait for our petition to be approved. I have not seen him sense August when we got married with no hope of seeing each other again anytime soon. Thank God for the internet and cams.

Bob, I'm so sorry. Is there a big age difference between you and your spouse? Just wondering if that's why they made the "white hair" comment.

Depressed doesn't quite cover it here. All hope has left me. My body feels like it has lost its soul.

Just, I hope all hope is not lost for you. There is about 12 years difference between my Fiancee and myself. She looks alot younger than her actual age. My hair is still light brown, not too bad for age 61. My beard is white, has been for many years. If I had know it would bring a negative to the interview, I could have colored my beard and hair, or just shaved off my beard that I have had for 35 years. Some of these interview questions by the Visa Officers (Lords of Guangzhou) sure seem to be getting more and more strange. I just bought some, "just for men" beard hair color. Boy, I will be a handsome Devil now. My Mom will not recognize me. Hey, good luck. Bob..........

Just when I was feeling more relaxed and less depressed I got a phone call today from my co-sponser. My nephew is having some problems on his job as a long haul truck driver and is talking about quitting and moving in with me.

I know he was just venting but he scared me. We really need a co-sponser and he is the only person willing to do it for me. I will just have to pray about his situation on his job, pray that things will get better.

Many of my friends are afraid of my husband being from Pakistan. They worry that if they talk to him on the computer or try to sponser him they will wind-up on some US Government watch list. My nephew was willing to help us without question and I thank God for him.

Bob I don't think you need to dye your hair unless that's what you want to do.

Julie, God is with you. Just try to hold on and let your waiver work it's way through the system.

Finally some sunshine, and above freezing. One of the things I am working on, is a Co Sponsor also. My income is at the minimum, and the Visa Officer made a comment about it, so I had better line up a Co Sponsor. I just read some information about the Visa Officers. An official stated that the Visa Officer position is "Considered a third-rate assignment, , something they must Suffer through for a few years at the very start of their careers. It is less a training assignment than a form of hazing". Maybe this give us a better idea to understand why some VOs have such a negative attitude.

Thanks, guys. It's been such a rough year. And now, with a brother (who does Missions worki) sleeping on the ground in Haiti, my mother and I really need my husband here.

Everything is so much harder without the 2nd half of the team.

The Haiti sure is a sad situation. When we think we have it bad, we see something like this and really appreciate that out situation is not as bad. Life is often difficult when together, but sure is alot more difficult when apart............Hang in There..............

I have a co-sponser lined up now. I did not think one was necessary, but I had better have one just to be on the safe side. I plan to get married about the last of February, and then file the 130 in March. I have no idea of the timeline for the 130. I would like to make another trip at the Interview date. What concerns me most about travel is the weather. I have a difficult time with very cold, with my poor circulation, and have had a few major injuries. I have a difficult time breathing when the weather is hot, and with poor air quality. So by filing in March, maybe we can get a Fall Interview.

I hope everything goes as planned for you Bob. I wasn't online yesterday afternoon had the stomach flu. I don't know if it's all the stress but I've been sick a lot sense I mailed my petition. I just keep praying everyday that things will work-out and we'll get the Visa.

I am always reading as much as possible to do the Visa Process as good as I can. Reading why others have received denials, helps to prepare for the next Interview. Just read, a couple did not send or have photos of a wedding ceremony. I do not know if they had a ceremony or not, just that they did not summit photos. They had a couple of other negatives, but received a blue slip, and later after replying to blue, they received a white slip, and Visa. Sorry that you have the flu problem. Stress can make almost everything very difficult. My health has never been great, with difficulty with hot making breathing not easy, and cold making everything hurt. I very rarely get a cold or flu. If I can get these Christmas pounds of my stomach before my next trip I should be ok. I have started my "walk alot routine" before my next trip. I did that last year, and good thing I did. My Fiancee and I were on the go everyday for 3 weeks.

Bob your "walk a lot routine" sounds good. I also need to start exercising again.

This winter cold just makes me more lonely for my husband. When I got married I didn't think it was going to be this hard to wait for us to be together again. I see and talk to him everyday on the computer but it's not the same as being able to touch each other. Because my co-sponser is having some financial problems I now hope our petition will not get processed for another month or so. That is so depressing. After wanting our NOA2 so bad now I am praying it doesn't come. Although I believe we have 6 months to get everything into NVC.

I do read about how to prepare for the interview. My husband has a good memory and that will work in our favor. My memory is not so good that is the one big negative that I see. Anyway sometimes he talks about not letting me come back to Pakistan for the interview. He says things are getting worse with the bombings and killings over there. He says my life is more important then the Visa. I don't agree with that. I risked my life to go meet him, then go back to get married. I would risk my life again to get him over here.

Because I only speak English and they can tell I'm not Pakistani sometimes large crowds would gather around me when we would walk on the street. This would scare my husband to death. It got so he wouldn't let me leave the house and when I did go out I had to be in a car. But for that Visa I would go through it all again and of course to see my husband again.
