Uhhh, is this true: NVC only schedules interviews on the 2nd week of every month? Really? And that interviews are usually for the next month? So scheduling of November interviews are over? Does this depend on the NVC or the USEM? Anybody got any input?

This is the second week of the month and they are scheduling now... But it is not always true... MANY people have gotten their interviews at all sorts of times of the month (ask Paris)... But this week is the bulk of them I think...

Haha. I know! Sometimes the tone of the post/email can be seriously misinterpreted.

Good luck to you and your friend. Godspeed. :)

And yeah, it sucks. Because it wasn't even our fault. We filed correctly at Chicago and when after nearly a month we hadn't received our NOA1, we called up USCIS and they tried to convince us that it should have gone to Detroit since my husband is from Michigan. We were like #######, I think NOT. After my husband ripped them a new one, they issued us our NOA1 promptly. His "Is this how you treat American citizens who've put their lives on hold for you" spiel sent them scurrying into action. Sometimes I wonder if yelling is the only way to get things done around a government bureaucracy. Ah. A month's worth of waiting just wasted.

Just got sent home sick, fever, congestion, and coughing lungs out, have doctors appointment this afternoon. UGH!!!! Dont need this now!!!!

UH OH!!! Get those antibiotics in you quick so you can get better for your trip!!! :energy: Feel Better!!!!

Respiratory infection/ anti-biotics for infection, Childrens Tylenol for fever, oh yea, and a inhaler. UGH!!!! Im off to bed and dreamland.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

i understand exactly how you feel...sometimes its very hard to focus on daily life when the stress of the visa process and the seperation gets to you..i have been apart from my hubby almost 8 months now and the stress and worry has even affected my health....the hardest for me was the 4 month wait for uscis to approve...you just have to remind each other that you're almost thru this hell...in the meantime try to focus on something nice and romantic to do together when all this is over...it helps pass the time...we are planning another honeymoon when he gets here for some much needed alone time...lol

I've been having a tough time lately. I am sure you call all, if not most, relate to it as it is around the CR1 process and being apart from the person you have just recently married.

My hubby and I were lucky to spend 3 months together when married, then 5 more months here in Australia before he had to go back to the USA and now we have been apart since July. Our one year anniversary is in November.

I'm half way through NVC, which some may think is wonderful... but this whole process is totally depressing me and I feel like a different person.

My husband notices a lot and he tries to be good about it via phone and email.. but it's getting harder by the day and I am becoming more and more irritable on the phone or via email and I just feel awful.

When I was with him in America, it was wonderful, and now, back here, on my own, its not. When he was in Australia with me, we both knew it would be hard as my family was pretty upset I went and eloped.. and we knew we had to also tell them we wanted to live in the USA eventually... well it was a trial really.. Hubby may have stayed in Australia, but once we did a bit of living in both countries, we decided the USA was the place for us to start our marriage.

So anyway, my point is, does anyone have ideas on how to overcome this? Its really seriously wrecking my day to day life, my work, my health, my relationship and just everything. I am so depressed and I worry about things which havent even happened yet, I also worry that my husband is sick of my whinging, and that when I get there if he decides to leave me, then what will I do?

I worry because I have always had seperation anxiety from a young age, and even my ####### father who left my mother when I was 13 months old claims that my marriage "wont last" and I am "abandoning my family" - well what did he do?!?!

Anyway I am ranting now.. but I just feel like some days I cant deal with it, and lately, its been every day... and I want to be back where things were good, back in the USA... but will it be good when I get there? Theres nothing telling me it wont, but I am still so very frightened and scared and I just cant cope... :(

I know this is the depressed forum and I truly was depressed a few hours earlier. I even cried copious tears over the phone to a befuddled husband about to head into a sponsorship meeting. But I have decided. Enough of the moping. We're all in this together and who cares about misery, when you've got company? USCIS, you shall not defeat me!

Haha. Got it. UGH. This sucks so much. I just want to dieeeee. *whiny voice*

Okay, now since you guys are so nice maybe someone can walk me through this like I'm a dense 6 year old? It's 5:47 am in India and I'm kind of glazing over the guides.

I am a little confused about the barcodes. Which forms have them and which don't? Can I download/print them off NOW and send it to my USC husband (along with everything else) so he can mail it straight to NVC when the time comes? Or do I have to wait for them to send me the forms with the barcodes on them? Is the payment cover sheet enough along with writing the case # on it?

Thanks for clearing this up.

There are 2 streets for the NVC process... One is for the petitioner and one is for the benificerary

The petitioner 1. pays the AOS fee bill, then 2. mails the AOS package to NVC

The Benificerary; 1. mails or E-MAILS the 3032 (can be e-mailed, just see the guides or the instructions on the 3032 NVC sent) 2. Once the 3032 is received and processed, the IV fee bill needs to be paid, 2. once the IV shows paid on the website, you can mail the 230 paciage with part I signed with original signature and Part II left unsigned to sign at embassy.

Once all the documents are received at NVC and processed, both streets merge and you get a case complete!

So you can sent the AOS package once the bill is paid... and wait for the 3032 to be accepted (but e-mail that ASAP)...

Best luck!

Hey, thanks for replying Christeen. I got that part. Now what I am asking is: about the barcodes. Do all/some of them have it? Or do I have to wait for them to send me the forms with the barcodes on them? Is the payment cover sheet enough along with writing the case # on it?

Sorry if I wasn't clear the first time round.

Ya, they got the interview and ya, i'm right behind you but jeezzzzz....I'm just bitter and burnt out u know...try to be happy and whatever and then everyone else is just moving right along. However a part of me doesnt want to hear their news, cause I want MY day in the SUN right? #######. I'm going to bed....
