"Package 3" and what to send to embassy

I'm a little confused as to what "package 3" is. My fiance (who will interview in London) hasn't gotten a package from anyone, just a letter from the embassy giving him the websites for info on the medical and where to download the forms. Is that considered "package 3"? I'm still a bit confused on what to send back to London. I know he needs to send back all the DS forms plus the checklist before they schedule his interview. The embassy's website says not to send any documents to the embassy other than the actual forms. BUT one of the DS forms states that you need to attach some documents to that form. So I'm in a terrible state of confusion. Does he NOT send that DS form back with the other four forms? *sigh* I'm so tired of this.... Oh and what is "package 4"?

Thanks...

Packet 3 is a checklist which tells you what you need to bring for the interview. Packet 4 is the interview letter. You need to call the Deptartment of State 202-663-1225. They can tell you if your embassy has sent packet 3. If they haven't you need to contact the embassy via phone/email and ask them if they can email you packet 3. I never received Packet 3 and someone was kind enough to email me a copy of what it looks like for my embassy. If you send in your DS-230 part I (signed) and get it to the embassy, that is when youre interview will be scheduled. Hope this helped.

Hi mstee,

Thank you so much for this info. My fiance received a letter which gave him a website which the checklist is located on. Will email the embassy just in case. Thank you again!

Can someone who has to deal with the London embassy help me figure out which forms to send back to the embassy? Do I send all the DS forms and the checklist back? Do I send any documents with the forms? I am not getting any answers and we don't want to send the wrong thing. Thanks.

Hi,

When I returned my forms i sent:

DS-230 (Part I)

DS-156

DS-156K

DS-157

IV-15 Checklist (as I had all the documents required)

I did not send ANY of the documentation asked for on the forms such as birth certificates, police certificates, photographs etc. It was collected and checked by one of the counter staff on the day of the interview.

When I sent the forms back I also sent DS-230 (part II), but I didn't see it again, I was asked to sign the DS-156K.

I hope that helps!
