Hi all,

We want to be planned for the worst, what are the main reasons people don't pass the interview? Is it because they can't prove that their marriages are bonafide or there is financial problem?

What do you do when you are rejected at the interview?

Hi all,

[sorry, edited the question with one more thing]

What do you do when you are rejected at the interview? Can you repeal the decision at the embassy?

if you are not above the poverty line, you can prepare for that in advance. You need to bring your paperwork for a co-sponser or a joint-sponser. If you don't "pass" the interview, the embassy sends your file back to the NVC, which returns it to USCIS for review. The USCIS with either deny it or reaffirm it.

What embassy? Maybe people could give you information on your particular embassy, if we knew which one you were using.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

One of the main reason ppl fail the consulate/aos interview is they they are not truthful in the beginning of the filing process and it comes back to haunt them at the interview. Another reason is lack of proper documentation and evidence to substantiate the facts. Third reason could be failing the medical examination. The affadivat of support is not so much of a factor, because someone else can co-sponsor (family or friend).
