Hi im just curious about life there , i'd like to have friends from PA !!! :thumbs:

i know my husband will be there to show me everything , but he works whole days ...

:thumbs::dance:

Good luck for the interview!!

I dont live in PA so I cant tell how it is there. I'm sure it will be tough coming to a new country but your husband will have to work all the time. Can he take a few days off to be with you when you arrive? It will be hard but at least you will be together!

Good luck :)

i am 40 miles south of camp hill. it is nothing like morocco, but is rather nice in it's own way. camp hill is 10 miles west of harrisburg, a city of about 1,000,000, including suburbs. it is on a large river with lots of interesting things to see and do. harrisburg is the state capitol, and has lots of public buildings including museums, art centers, shopping malls, universities, etc.

the public services are all good, and you may find local taxis to use until you can drive. the cultural mix prolly includes a few north africans, but is likely 70% white, 12% black, 12% latino, with other races in the balance. you will have no problem getting along with your neighbors, and will be able to find your way around in no time.

be prepared for winter weather. it gets cold in winter, with avg daily temps near 0*C for a month or o in Jamuary-February, with an average yearly total of 300 mm snow, but occasionally up to 2 meters in one storm. summertime highs are more like 30* to 38* from June to August. the change of seasons is actually one of the nicest things about the area. it's quite beautiful in fall and spring. there are mountains of 800 meters just to the west, and the sea coast is about 3 hours drive.

getting places from camp hill is easy. it is at the crossroads of two major highways going east/west and north/south. washington DC and new york are about 3-4 hours in opposite directions. baltimore is closer, as are philadelphia and pittsburg. life is generally good in pennsylvania. it is considered one of the more stable and conservative of states, excepting philly.
