After the check is cashed on May 12th, I receive the NOA today and the receipt date is 05-10-10. Pls update us!! smile.gif

And yay...I think I successfully change my name from maiden to married last name!!!kicking.gif

Thanks to VJ, I saw a post before, said that to write "please change my name from maiden to married last name!!!" on the cover letter , it works!!!wink.gif

That is great to know, as I am doing trying to change my maiden name to my last married last name as well. Did you include any other documents that show the name change?

Wow! It's been so long since I've posted here. Things have been going along so smoothly for the past two years that time has just flown by! But my husband and I are sending in our I-751 today. Fingers crossed that all goes well! We've included photos, 3 signed affadavits from friends and family, joint bank acct. info, life insurance policy info, portions of our 2008-2009 tax returns, AND copies of our Costco cards showing we have the same account. lol. Never can send too much info I suppose. :)

Forgot to add we were Vermont Applicants!

2007:

February - May: extended visit to States, engagement.

5/4: I-129F sent (Texas Service Center, forwarded to California Service Center)

5/11: Petition received at California Service Center.

5/16: Check cleared. NOA1 online (no hard copy received yet)

6/19: NOA1 hard copy arrived FINALLY

7/16: Sent off for Police Certificate (U.K.)

8/22: TOUCHED due to phone call (RFE Trick, was told case wasn't assigned yet)

9/20:APPROVED!!! After 127 days from NOA1 and 139 days from filing date.

10/23: Spoke to Kelly at NVC who said they should have received our petition by now. She advised I send a copy of our NOA2 directly to the NVC office, which I did immediately. :-)

10/26: NVC RECEIVES CASE!

10/30: NVC SENDS CASE TO LONDON CONSULATE

11/1: Consulate receives case in London AND sends out Packet 3.

11/6: Sent Packet 3 to Consulate (we'd downloaded the forms on VJ and had them completed already)

11/22: Appointment for Medical.

2008:

01/08: Interview scheduled for 10 a.m. APPROVED!!!

02/01/08: Stephen comes to America!!!

Oh I forgot to add, I received the letter addressed to my new last name. So I guess my name change was accepted :yes: Does anybody know if the NOA letter is enough for the DMV and the SS Office to change my name on the SS card and the DL? Or do I have to wait for the actual card to arrive to show the prove of the name change?
