Let me tell you, it's beginning to feel pretty lonely in the CSC column.

Folks we received our Green card today !!! Thanks again everyone for the help.

However the photo on the card is in black & white. It is NOT in color at all. Has anyone received such a green card?

And the thumb print on the card is so small. It doesn't look like a thumb print at all.

I read in one of the earlier posts by juzero2 receiving a similar one...

Once again here's the timeline of the final processing:

9/21/2010: Received an email from USCIS saying ”Card production ordered”

9/22/2010: Received an email from USCIS saying ”Card production ordered”

9/23/2010: Received an email from USCIS saying ”Approval notice has been sent”

9/27/2010: Received green card in the mail.

Yes - on ours, the photo is in black and white, and the date of birth and sex is imprinted on the left side of the photo.

I will be leaving on an overseas trip tomorrow for a couple of months, time to relax on the beach in Thailand and Bali. I have no confidence that I will get approved in time, although one never knows. I am just naturally pessimistic. Would someone please be good enough to remind me of the procedure I need to follow, if nothing has happened after waiting 6 months? Thanks, I appreciate your help!

Once 6 months pass, then you can call USCIS 800 line and inquire about your paperwork. You can also schedule an infopass and have them look into where your file is.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

I don’t think that they are go denied you just like that without at least ask for more evidence (RFE) or call you for an interview. Honestly I don’t think so. I’would be more concerned if one those are issued and you guys are not in the US to provide whatever they ask for or to attend to an interview if that is the case. Hopefully someone is going to check your mail box while you guys are overseas.

I agree. They won't outright deny but they may ask for more stuff/interview. Do make sure to have someone check your mail.

For me, I'm also still waiting but am not going out of town so that's good. But the waiting is getting VERY old. I just want to know something... Of course, I did only get my biometrics done on August 31, so I guess I'll just keep trucking along!
