just got checked my status online..On September 2, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.. is tihis a good sign??? thanks..

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

We also received the green card on Saturday 9/4!

My husband also received his green card in the mail on 9/4/10. :star:

We don't have mail delivery on Labor Day,so its kind of weird someone had their green card delivered today. :unsure:

Surely refreshing to see a couple of approvals from CSC. Me? Haven't had a touch since July 13, which was the day after we did Biometrics. Has anyone had any touches after Biometrics?

Or is that normal?

Heh, can I be a spoiler here? The majority of posts now are congratulatory messages. That is fine with me, but every time I receive a notification in my incoming e-mail folder I need to follow it in order to stay in the loop. I am expecting a reply to my questions, but my questions get buried in the congratulatory messages. Trust me, I myself am happy about any approval. But I am also eager for it to be my turn, I have some questions. The waiting applicants are apprehensive. So, can you please tone it down and at the same time let's assure every approved applicant that all of us are happy for them and congratulate them ( even though there are not ten messages to confirm that ). And also don't forget for every applicant approved, at this moment there are tons of CSC not approved applicants. Rant over.

Most people do not get touches after biometrics until that beautiful morning when a message is received on your cellphone asking you to check your online with USCIS. Some people don't even get that and just find the approval letter in the mail.

So, yes, it is normal.

Oh man I surely understand perfectly what you are feeling. I just don’t get it. It seems like our cases are piled in a corner and nobody cares about them. Unfortunately, I fear that we are going to see August filers approved before many of us. I hope be wrong though. We just can wait and rant of course. I have no idea what is going on with CSC May filers but it is truly unfair.

BTW, answering your question about touches. I got one touch two days after Biometrics and nothing else since.

Still hoping any sign of life this week for all us waiting. :clock:

YOUTOO, my fellow Japanese :blush: , in my case, when I saw touches long after biometrics, they were for RFE :devil:

After RFE, nothing until I got mail notification for card production.

So, don't worry too much and Good luck :star:

YOUTOO ....it is very frustrating to see approvals and haven't been approved 'yet' yourself. And/or ask a question and it not be answered right away. This whole process get's tense and stressful ...because of not knowing, not receiving an answer. Staying positive based on our accurate paperwork submitted is all we have.

Also, I will say, that 'touches' usually mean that they are looking at your case, in various stages, and various locations where it has been (your paper work) moved to/shipped to various offices. Everytime a case is viewed, opened, you receive a touch. It hardly means that a RFE is on it's way. We had 5 touches total after Biometrics.....however, based upon the accuracy, truthfulness of our paperwork (documents submitted) .........we didn't sweat it.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.
