This is hard to believe but here is what I got in the email:

On August 20, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

Congratulations to those who got their green card approved and biometrics appointment letters!!!

We went to the ASC in Elizabeth, NJ for the biometrics. It was almost empty. It took us less then one hour to be in and out.

You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

Thanks for this website. I am eager like anyone else to get the approval letter. And then I look at the current statistics at CSC and see that only 2 out of all the 19 applicants have been approved. Then I feel a bit better. Sending congrats to everyone approved and wishing the rest of us get approved soon.

By the way, we just traveled Internationally and although we had received the letter from USCIS that our 2 year GC was extended for one more year and that letter was presented at point of entry with my GC, I still was sent to secondary inspection, sat with a dubious crowd for 45 minutes, before I was sent my way.

This "wonderful and so technically advanced" country needs to learn a lot about electronic communications. Wouldn't you think, they somehow could update the GC profile, instead of requiring a "secondary" to check if the USCIS letter was "genuine" or not?

Hello there!

Just got the permanent GC in the mail!!! :) Glad this is all over with and we can close this door now. It was a stressful and long journey indeed I probably won't ask for citizenship as I'm fine as a resident so this is hopefully the last time I have to deal with this. I wish you all the best of lucks!!!

@YOUTOO Sorry to hear about that, we cancelled our trip to France this year because of that. I had a feeling it wouldn't be that easy with an expired card and a little bit of a paper to get back in. We have a two year old and wouldn't put ourselves through that additional stress! I'm glad things eventually turned out ok.

Anyone have any idea why removal of conditions would result in an OS155A status on the online tool?

On June 9, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this OS155A IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Timeline roughly was NOA May 17th, NOA around May 25th, Bio done last week (8/18).

Any ideas?

Well, many many members reported touches on their previous petitions or applications. My guess is that this message is similar to those. You can contact USCIS and double check on the status of your application.

You can also ask them about this but I highly doubt you will end the call with any additional information.
