Thanks! Yes, it was so fast my jaw dropped! We just went to the Biometrics center on the 11th at 9AM and on the 13th around 6PM were approved - didn't do a thing they did it all. Let's see how fast we get the GC now but at least I know things are getting somewhere. I'm sure everyone will get their case status going soon too as USCIS wraps up their computer bug problem.

One thing I've noticed that as soon as the VSC folks go for the Biometrics they are approved in a very short period of time... Good for you guys...

On the contrary CSC guys have to wait longer to hear back after the biometrics... Thoughts anyone ?

If you look back to as recent as March you'll see that CSC filers were getting approved in as little as 5 weeks and it was taking VSC much longer. Now the roles have switched and VSC is going faster and CSC has slowed down. It's all a part of the natural ebb and flow of this process and the different service centers.

It's just a matter of time before VSC slows to a crawl again and CSC picks up. That's just how it is. My wish though is that both service centers could work efficiently, consistently and at about the same rate all the time.

Regardless, as long as everyone's application gets processed within the 6 month processing time frame (which is the same for both VSC and CSC) for this petition there's really no issue. We're still permanent residents even when our cards expire. :thumbs:

Biometrics were completed on Friday (8/13). We arrived an hour before our scheduled time and were asked to come back 30 minutes later. We did and were then in and out in less than 10 minutes. Happy to have that step over with. Checked my husband's case online last night and it was touched on Saturday.

I'm super annoyed becuase when I talked to the USCIS helpline the woman I spoke with acknowledged that my husband's petition was filed on time, but we still had to submit evidence consvincing them that they had made an error. The online case staus still says the eptition is under initial review, though I know this, too, is incorrect. I would love to know if they've actually resumed the review of my husband's petition. It would be a bit easier to cope with if they'd actually update our online account so we knew what was happening.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

I was reading and noticed we were placed as an Early Bio ......not accurate......Jenny was scheduled on 8/13/10 @ 12:00, And that is the time we were there and her biometrics was taken.
