Nothing for me. Still waiting for the Biometrics notice. Also no response to my service request. Oh well, I'm not going to get stressed about it. I know our application will be approved. I do wish it would move quicker but alas this may take longer than my AOS but it will get done.

Any news or updates in regards to missing biometrics letters?

Haven't heard anything back about the service request. I'm starting to wish I'd been able to file at VSC, seeing the April filers list.. Looks like we'll be delayed for at least 8-10 weeks because of the missing biometrics and the slowdown in CSC approvals.

Has anyone talked to an officer about the delay CSC seems to be having?

Hi to everybody, I just spoke with an oficer from USCIS and I got my CRI89 number and she toll me that I dont have yet a day for my BIO. A., and she also toll me that they know about the delate for the BIO A. may filler, and they all redy did a notice to the differents uscis center but she also say it my gonna take time to fix like 30 days, ;)

Thanks for the info, it's refreshing to hear USCIS is admitting to delays for May filers.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics letter, you can call the NCSC and put in service request to the center which you filed to find out that status of the letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

Well, it seems like everybody is getting different response of their inquiries. The first time that I called them was 06/15/10 and I got my CRI89 # case but did not get anything about the BIO letter. Now, I called them and emailed them to place a request for my Bio letter the last Monday 07/12/10 (60 days after my NOA date). However it was unsuccessful because all I got was this email today:

Requests for biometric appointments do not come from the public. Depending on how busy the ASC centers are, appointments for biometrics have been known to take up to 3 months to schedule. You may elect to schedule an appointment with your local district office through Infopass to inquire further. You may make an appointment through Infopass on our website at www.uscis.gov.

USCIS has published their processing volume for May....interesting to see the CSC's number of I-751 completions (second graph, green bar) has been cut in half. That ought to create a nasty backlog.

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

I E-Mailed to Vermont Service Center , with my NOA receipt number and A #. i got the following reply.

Good morning,

Your ASC appointment will be made with a center in Texas. Texas centers are experiencing a backlog, and it is taking longer than normal for biometric appointments to be scheduled..

Please allow another 30 days. If you don't hear anything by then, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this Center you may want to utilize our National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. If you would like to obtain forms, filing instructions, case status or schedule an appointment with your local office, please visit our website at www.uscis.gov. You must use the InfoPass Appointment Scheduler prior to visiting your local office.
