I don't remember off hand the options but I know I picked the one where you don't know your receipt number. Because at the time I only had the NOA receipt number that is no good. Then I asked the Agent to transfer me to An Immigration Officer and to her explained my case. She was able to give me my actual receipt number and confirm they still had no biometrics date for my case.

I-751 timeline (Vermont)

05/11/2010 - I-751 mailed

05/14/2010 - NOA1 received

05/21/2010 - USCIS touch

07/10/2010 - USCIS touch

08/11/2010 - Biometrics (mailed on 07/23/2010)

08/13/2010 - Card production ordered

08/23/2010 - Green Card in the mail :)

Had my biometrics done today. Took a total of 10 minutes from entering till leaving the center. Got there 5 minutes late coz I kept looking for it. Its a small place and very easy to miss. All the employees were really nice and played with Adi while I got my fingerprints done and picture taken and gave him a candy too :) He just loved the attention. There weren't many people there, maybe 4-5. Lots more started coming in as I was coming out.

so i manage to call today with an immigration officer who informed me my biometrics appt has not been set but she gave me the receipt number which at least gives me peace of mind for now :)

I think I'll call too today. What did you say to them to get the new number, Uham?

Last time I called, the officer said the only way to track 751s is to call them.

I asked for the receipt number. At first the lady gave me the receipt number I already had so i had to clarify if she can provide to me the receipt number for the biometrics and she did. She was very nice I must say!

Just FYI, I put my receipt number in the system, the petition hasnt been touched since May 26

Yep, I called them yesterday and asked to talk with an Immigration officer, she checked on my case and confirmed to me that my bio letter has not been sent yet. I asked her for the number of my case and she gave it to me. So I can now log in and check the status of my case. To those still waiting for their BIO letter, just call them and ask them for their case number, so at least you're going to be able to follow your case.

I hope the next week we start getting Bio letters,

For those of you like me who still haven't received their biometrics letter and don't have the 'actual' receipt number to follow the case online you can try calling the support number and asking to speak to an Immigration Officer (higher level than the Agents), the Officer I got to speak with was very helpful and gave me my receipt number even though I still don't have a biometrics scheduled. This way I can follow the case online. Just a thought because this was really making me nervous not to know anything at all...

That's great information! I'm going to try it later on.

So I just logged into my USCIS page and I got a touch on 07/01/10 right after my biometrics. I wasn't expecting a touch this soon so fingures crossed for No RFEs.

Thanks uham and mari&ryan. My problem is that I probably won't have a bio appointment at all, because my last one was less than 15 months ago. So I can't ask for the bio letter's receipt number. ;-)

Perhaps you still can - because it is also your case number for tracking online. It doesn't hurt to try!
