:help: Hello fellow VJers,

My husband is a USC and I'm from the Philippines but currently residing in Saudi Arabia were we both work. We filed for CR-1 under DCF. My husband and I are organizing our documents in preparation for the next step which is the Interview. I just want to ask you guys about the additional evidence for the Affidavit of Support. My husband needs to submit his Federal Income tax return copy or transcript. Since he is overseas, he is using TURBOTAX w/c is an electronic filing. We just printed copies of tax return from his TURBOTAX account. When I asked the embassy officer last time about it, he said it's ok to use it. I just need reassurance from anyone about this issue. Do you think it's acceptable to use the print out as evidence? If not, then we have to acquire a copy from US IRS. Thanks and I appreciate any input... Goodluck to you all!

I am flattered. The consulate tells you it is OK and you want to hear from us...just to be sure.

Yes it is OK, but you need to attach his w-2s to tax return copies, you do not need to attach them to transcripts you get from the IRS.

Thanks, Gary and Alla for taking time to reply. It was a big help. Well, as much as I'd like to trust the consulate people completely, I can't help but doubt them at times.

My husband (petitioner) is working overseas as contract worker for a private company, so he can't provide W-2 but I'll just bring his pay slips as evidence... Thanks a lot and Goodluck to you both... :innocent:
