Can someone please tell me how in the world I can get photos to be 600 x 600 pixels exactly. I got the passport style photos for family members outside of the country on a recent trip and scanned them into the computer. However, i have tried several photo sizing programs and none of them allow me to get the exact 600 x 600 requirement.

If you are purely using 'resize' then there is no way you will ever get a perfect 600x600, unless the photo you started with is perfectly square (which I assume it's not).

There are a few ways to approach it.

First resize to 600 x whatever (whatever keeps the proportion) then crop the non 600 pixel length or width to 600, hopefully not cutting off part of your face!

Second, you can chose (in adobe photoshop anyway), to have the cropping tool set for a specific pixelxpixel size. What you can do in that case is say resize to a 700 x 700 pixel size and see if you can crop a reasonable picture from there.

Barring all that, perhaps someone here on VJ, with photoshop on their computer, will help you out if you send them the pics! (I would but don't have it on this computer)
