Which consulate to choose for immigrant visa interview: Ankara or Abu Dhabi? (US citizen husband applying for wife (I 130)).

What are advantages/disadvantages of each consulate?

Are there any major reasons to pick up one over another?

Iranian people who have gone this route, please shed some light on this.

Thanks,

Cheers, :)

Hello Mohsen,

We picked Abu Dhabi because we are already familar with Dubai. I would like to read other peoples response to this question.

Have a great day!!!

Abu Dhabi hasn't been treating us well so far! they are busy or short in number of staffs, I don't know. But our file was completed in Sep. Nothing even for Nov. I'm not even sure we can get into Dec list or not.

I have K3 interview in Dec. So if nothing happens by then, we will go for K3. USCIS and NVC were pretty ok, (on time) but after NVC it's just stupid delay! for unknown reason!

I have no idea abt Ankara.

We are going through the embassy in Ankara for DCF. You can see our time line below in my signature. The staff can be nitpicky about all the documents and requirements and seemed a bit rude. But I guess it is their job to have a bit of an attitude. They did schedule our interview within 3 months of receiving all our documents. I will update my time line after the interview and say how it went.
