Our DIL had her interview in Rio on July 11, 06. They were given a 30 day extension and will return to Rio on August 16, 06 to file their waiver for overstay and bring a couple of things that they did not have with them initially.

My question is this. The I-129f (K-3) petition was just updated at the USCIS site on July 15, 06. It had not been updated prior to this since it was approved in April 06. Do they do things with the case back in the US after they have sent it on approved to the embassy and after the interview has already happened?

Has anyone else had this happen before?

Thanks for any information.
