Totally confused here.

I just got an e-mail that they sent an RFE for my I-485 on 10/16. I looked over the copies of everything I sent, and it looks like I sent everything that was required, except for item 5 which is biometrics and cannot be sent.

The e-mail said that the RFE was sent on 10/16- the same date as my biometrics letter, so I think I should have received it if it was sent the same day?

Could it mean that the RFE was sent for the biometrics, or should I start worrying again?

The only possible issue I could think of is that I sent a copy of an international birth certificate that is in Macedonian, Albanian, English, German, and French, but each language is clearly labeled. The order of languages is given on top of the page , and then in each box the entry is written in all languages :ex it says first name/Vorname/ prenom...).

I just got excited about the biometrics letter, and now I'm freaking out again.

Does anybody know if the biometrics shows up as RFE for I-485 online?

In theory, biometrics shouldn't show up as RFE, but I don't know how reliable their system is.

CRIS says that they sent me an RFE notice on the 16th, which is the same date as my biometrics notice. I haven't received anything yet, and if something else was sent on the 16th from the MSC, I would have received it the next day or yesterday, because I live in Missouri. I got the biometrics notice yesterday.

All I got today were coupons for Shop and Save, and a ton of junk mail.

The person on the misinformation line told me to wait until the 30th, because she can't help me until 14 days have passed.

I spent 3 hours going over the copies of the papers we filed, and I can't figure out what the RFE would be for. Everything was signed, we included IRS tax transcripts , employment letter, and pay stubs with I-864, we included photos, my medical was OK and included in a sealed and signed envelope, I sent copies of my I-94, copies of my marriage certificate that were certified, authenticated, and issued directly by the county and that cost $20 a pop...

I guess it's also possible that something got lost when my case was transfered, but I'm really worried because I have no idea what additional stuff they might want from me, or how long it might take me to collect it.

The biometrics have nothing to do with the RFE, that;s for sure.

I imagine you are having a hard time trying to figure out what in the world is that RFE about and I am sure I would feel the same way. If I were you I would wait 2 more weeks as you have been told and then call the customer service again. I know it's hard to wait but you never know , you might get that RFE in the mail soon.
