Congrats fli!

I just checked our online status and realized we were touched on Jan 1 (poor IOs working on New Year's :() I wonder why though since our interview is in a few weeks. Perhaps they review cases before an interview. Anyhow, it's the first touch on our I-130 in months so at least they still have it!

That's interesting fli. You're the second one in our October group that received AOS approval without being transferred to CSC and without an interview.

Happy New Year!!!

I'm starting to panic before my interview,

We got married at October in US, send AOS package at November (we know each other from 2001)

I'm worried because we don't have a lot of proof: only lease and bank account both from November

Not to much hmmm!

Any suggestion?

Hi guys!! I haven't been in here so long, so let me start by saying HAPPY NEW YEARS!! Hope everyone's 2010 is off to a good start. Well mine is... I have my interview on Wednesday and I haven't prepared any documents for it yet  It was a hectice holiday season  I'm thinking since we submitted everything, can't we just take the copies of what we submitted plus a couple pictures of us together (we haven't had our wedding yet, so no wedding picture but pictures of our trips) and joint bank accounts that we didn't include in our packet?

Also one question, our interview letter says "INITIAL Interview". Does that mean there is going to be a second one???

Hi guys, I had my interview done this morning in Baltimore. And it was easy breezy :dance: Overall, it took only 10-15minutes. But this is how it went:

We got there around 8:00am, our interview time was 8:30am. When we went to the room 103, there were already quite a few people waiting there (around 20 people). We gave the receptionist our interview letter and waited for about 15 to 20 minutes. While I was waiting, I saw some couples are called in separately, and others went in together and came out in 10-15 minutes. And then this gentleman opened the door and called my name and my husband and I went in. My first impression on him was very serious and a little scary, no smile what so ever. We went into his office and he asked to see my ID. He confirmed my current address since the address on my driver's license was old. He asked if I have ever been arrested and if I have been to the immigration court upstairs for any reason before? He also asked if I had any children? All my answers were no. Then he asked if I went to school in the US, I said yes and stated the college I went to. Then he was looking for my birth certificate and couldn't find it in the file, so he asked for it, which I gave him. And then, he was looking through our files and found my hubby's birth certificate and all of sudden he said...."Wait a minute...." At that time, my heart started pounding so fast.. I thought we screwed up on paperwork or something... And then he said "You are from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, you are from down south. What are you doing here in this area? Men, I don't see too many people from South, my wife always tell me if I am any kind of a man, I would take her back to south...blah blah blah" with his Louisiana accent..LOL Then my hubby and he just started talking about food, jazz, blues. The officer was smiling now, completely different impression from my first one

And then he asked for any joint assets information, so I gave him the following:

Joint bank account

Our health insurance information with my husband as my beneficiary

Gas bill

Electricity Bill

Geico Auto insurance card with both our names on it

I asked if he wanted to see pictures but he said no. And he went out of his office to make copies.

When he came back, he said, "what's gonna happen now is you will get a letter about approval in about 3 weeks, and then after that you will get the green card in mail in about 4 weeks". He then said "From what I've seen, I don't have any heart burns from your files and from you two." And then he said to my husband "See she probably doesn't know it, but us southern folks you can just feel it, none of these files matter, when you can feel it's right, it's the vibe, it's the music... blah blah blah" And we were just laughing and smiling. And then he escorted us out and shook our hands. And that was it. There were no questions about us, how we met or what's your husband's mother's name, etc.

I will post my experiance on Baltimore office review as well, but just wanted to share this with you all October filers! Wishing good luck to your future interview :star::star:

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Congrats ReeRee  wow!!! that was an easy breezy interview. I spent most of the time in the waiting room trying to spot you out, kept telling hubby... "that's ReeRee" and the next minute "Oh! don't think she's the one", lol. I really wish we got to meet!

Here's my interview story.......

We got to the office at 7:30am for the 8am interview. A young pretty lady called us in about 8:30am (she later told us that she was a year older than me). Exchanged greetings, wished her Happy New Year, which she responded to and asked if we had a nice holiday (this was on the long walk back to her office).

Once inside the office, after swearing, we got seated and she immediately delved into the G325A... She basically asked my hubby questions about:

Your spouse full name, spouse date of birth, city and country of birth, any kids, ever being married, current address, duration in address, present job, how we met and where.

She then turned to me and asked me: Spouse full name, date of birth, spouse city of birth, kids, ever being married and lastly describe proposal.

She then asked if we had any other document we wanted to add to our file and we gave her copies of the joint documents that we had in the file (Hubby being extremely organized, had this folder with tags such as 1-USCIS Notices, 2-ID's and birth certficate, 3-Joint documents (with copies behind: Joint Bank Statements, Life insurance, credit cards, Gas & Electricity bill and Lease), 4-Pictures, 5-Medical file, 6- Copies of Application). She didn't ask for pictures.

Unfortunately, since I tested positive to the the TB test.... her supervisor insisted that I submit evidence that I have begun treatment for latent tuberculosis infection within 30 days (I didn't take the optional medication cuz it's generally not recommended if you are trying for "lil angels" within that period. USCIS obviously thinks otherwise, that I should rather start and stop anytime I get pregnant)

She then went on to tell us that she would approve the 1-130 and that when they receive the evidence requested, they would go through my file and if approved, I would get the 2 years green card and so on....

Then she walked us back to the door, laughing and talking generally. Oh!! by the way, we forgot to take our jackets and she had to bring it out again for us, lol. All in all... she was nice but very professional during the questioning session.

So, tomorrow I'll make an appointment with the County health dept and get that started, so I can send the info back to them.

So my advice to everyone else would be just relax cause they really watch your demeanor.

Wishing KM24, Rebecca, Greg, Hudons and everyone else (ofcourse including Marie09) the best in your upcoming interviews :star:
