I got another touch on the EAD today and another e-mail stating they ordered production of the card. They said they ordered production of the card on the 4th too  lol

It's just normal Rebecca.. I also received 2 emails for card production ordered.. you will be then receiving it soon =) like after 3-4 days i guess.. woot woot! By the way, I've already applied for SSN but so hard to look for a job.. tsk tsk!

Thanks KM  Good luck in the job hunting! What type of work are you looking for?

I'm just looking for part time jobs (sales, management) since I still have to wait for my RN License 'cause they need my SSN for that. and what I've observed some hospitals requires 1-2 years experience on that field.

Are you a new grad KM 24? if you are try to get into the new grad program... there's a carreer fair in Pasadena sponsor by nurse week.. try that... it may helps... the hosp i work close for the new grad program but if you do have some exp and have the RN license its somewhat easy to get the job... at this time you cant be choosy even though ur nurse... ive never thought as a nurse u would have a hard time finding a job until now...

Yes, I am.. Really? There's a job fair in Pasadena? Can you give me the address and date? Thanks dear.. Some hospitals ask for like 1-2 years experience and I don't have any..

I dont know exactly where, i think its in pasadena convention center, you can go to www.nurseweek.com, yes many hospitals dont really want to train new grads anymore cuz it costs too much money since now many old nurses go back to work or many nurses now have more than one jobs due to econ

My cute mail delivery truck just dropped the EAD card today!!! NICE!

It's time to get driver's license, and also hunt for a good job. Real life will be started!

Btw, I'm looking at it right now, and realized that's only valid for a year..hum. And I found there is a comment about this at the back of paper :

Your card has an expiration date.

-If you are a conditional resident, you should apply to remove the conditions 90 days before your card expires.

-If you are a permanent resident, the expiratioin date does not affect your status, but you should use Form I-90 to apply for a new card 90 days before this card expires.

Eventually all my AOS will be approved, and then I'll be a permanent resident about the time when this EAD is expired, right? So I need to use I-90 FORM to renew. USCIS web has this form, I guess? Any advice would be appreciated.

Feb 6 10: Got my Greencard!

OCT 11 : Filed I-751

NOV 11 : Received I-797 Notice of Action.(It says I-751 receipt notice...1 year extended)

NOV 11 : CHECK_$590 cashed.

DEC 11 : Done Bio.

JAN 12 : Resident card date is expired.

WAITING...

Rebecca, congrats on receiving the AP. You should get the EAD card next day or so. We got two copies of the AP also. Don't really know why two. If we were to use it for travel, I guess we'd bring along both in case one is for them and one is to keep.

I think youre GC should arrive before this EAD expires, and the GC takes the place of the EAD as it will maybe say that you're allowed to work on it, so no need for the EAD?

Correct, once you get your GC you can just use that to work  My hubby might not even use his EAD since his status doesn't run out until March 2010, but we applied just in case anyway!

I just thought of a question. Since we filed the I-130 with the I-485, when we have the interview is it just to approve the I-485? If my husband gets approved at the interview will we be done until ROC or do we then have to wait for the I-130 to be approved? I ask b/c most of the cases I've seen here are people who have only sent forms I-485 and EAD/APs so I'm not sure what part our I-130 plays in this process...
