Wow, lots of updates since yesterday, congrats KM24, Evilmonkey for AP and luckykaren for getting bio done!! That is such good news before Thanksgiving!!

I feel like now I am left behind that I get no updates, the date on the USCIS website is unchanged since 10/14 and 10/27.... and I get no email or text notification even though I turned both of them on... Good thing my employer was able to extend my H1 so I can keep working. I should be thankful for that.

Anyway, everyone have a happy Thanksgiving whether spending time with your family or friends!!

1999 Arrive in US as F1 student

2003 Graduated college and found a job - switched to H-1B from F1

2006 H-1B renewed

2007 Switched job, H-1B transferred to a new employer

2009 Engaged

9/22/2009 civil ceremony - I am married to a wonderful man - tall dark & handsome :)

MY TIMELINE

10/05/09 sent I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 via Fedex to Chicago (Day 1)

10/06/09 Delivered to Chicago, signed by J. Chyba (Day 2)

10/14/09 Check for I-485 cashed (Day 10)

10/16/09 Check for I-130 cashed & received all 4 NOA's!!!! (NOA Date was 10/13/09) (Day 12)

10/27/09 Received Biometrics appt letter (Letter Date was 10/19/09) (Day 23)

10/28/09 Attempt to walk-in bio failed at Wheaton, MD Support Center.... (Day 24)

11/06/09 9AM Biometrics Done

12/03/09 Received interview letter (Scheduled on 01/06/10 in Baltimore) (Day 59)

12/08/09 Received E-mails: EAD production order and AP approval (Day 64)

12/14/09 Received AP (2 copies) in mail!

12/16/09 Received EAD!!!!!

01/06/10 Interview done!!! - 20 minutes of waiting and 15 minutes of interview

01/21/10 Got Green Card in a mail!!!!!!!

01/26/10 Got Welcome letter saying my green card is approved (got it after I got my GC:) )

So my hubby had his biometrics today. Pretty painless...we were there early and got out before our scheduled time even came :thumbs: The USCIS officers were pretty nice, I'm not sure if that's where we'll have our interview or not.

Anyway, glad that's done with!

Congrats to Flyer92 and evilmonkee on your approvals and luckykaren on completing your bio.

ReeRee, don't worry. As some have experienced, the online system doesn't update sometimes even though they are working on your case. Sharon1984 got her interview appointment without any updates online. Still shows in the acceptance state. Great that your employer extended your visa, but I think you'll get your EAD soon. :thumbs:

Thanks! Yeah it'll be nice to get the approvals :star: Not sure if we'll use the AP or the EAD but it's better to have them just in case. Phil's J1 lasts until March 31, 2010 so unless the approval takes longer than that, then he probably won't need the EAD

The online status for us hasn't moved for nearly a month now so I wouldn't rely on that. I'm glad your H1 was extended!

We got a touch on the I485 & I765 b/c of the biometrics. I'm wondering...when my hubby was filling out that sheet of paper they gave us to put his name, address, etc, there was a spot to put "Application Numbers." I assumed they only wanted the #s for the applications which the biometrics was used for (765 & 485). Was he supposed to put the I130 and I131 down too?? Just wondering since those weren't touched today...

Hi Rebecca, I think that is fine. The bio will cause a touch on your AOS and EAD, not on the AP. Don't know about the I-130, since we didn't file that, but think you are ok.

Hi Rebecca, I think that is fine. The bio will cause a touch on your AOS and EAD, not on the AP. Don't know about the I-130, since we didn't file that, but think you are ok.

Your timeline is similar to ours. We had the bio 41 days after the NOA date. Then received the approval for EAD and AP the same day. So, hopefully you will see the EAD approval soon.

Still nothing . . .

I am still waiting on the letter for my biometrics appointment and hoping above all hope that the post office did not mess up again. I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that it gets here on Friday or Saturday.
